Might be a wise move since they are preparing themselves for the inevitable implosion of fart champion.

If a fart implodes in the forest, does anyone hear it? Does it smell? Do you win anything? Does it hurt? does it cause "lower back injuries"?

it's kind of ridiculous. they already got a pick for taking him, now they want two? they're killing their rep with agents, imo. i get why fans don't like it (i'll be pissed if he goes to houston for the min), but memphis has no use for him and never intended to keep him when they got him.

buy out the contract, less vet min, move on.

article regarding our disabled player exception, with copied section below:

I would just like to state for the record, that is we were somehow able to get Dwayne Bacon, I would 100% buy a Bacon Jersey. and if dude caught fire while shooting 3 pointers during a game, I'd be posting this gif nonstop.

    Love it!!

LOL .... one of my daughter in laws is Jewish, though not hard core about it in her life. But prior to dating my son (not Jewish) she in fact did not eat bacon. By the time they married she as a surprise had engraved on the inside of his wedding ring, "I love you more than Bacon".

    She's great!

I assume the Grizz are just taking one last crack at finding a trade partner. When/if it doesn't work out, they'll let him go.

Lots of possibilities there for future life decisions and works with all. Smart marketing by someone well ahead of their time. Some gene study will likely confirm the name goes back aways.

yeah thats a good look for memphis with high profile players. iggy is at tail end of his career, and still can contribute to a championship contender, not rot the last of his playing days in memphis.

i get the angle, but memphis would have more of a gripe had they made the trade with the intent on utilizing iguodala as a basketball player. instead, they collected an asset for paying his contract. now, they're trying to collect more.

i'm on his side in this one. now, if it came out that they went to him and asked if he would play for them in a featured role and mentor their young players until they could find him a suitable home, i'd have more sympathy for the organization. but i don't think that ever really happened. and even if it had, everyone knew what that trade was about. so yeah, they should just buy him out at near the full salary. should have shortly after the trade, tbh. they're not getting a 1st for him.
