We got 1.75m that won't prorate as the season goes on and will be fully available during buyout season (post trade deadline and well before March 10th).

The only way we lose the exception is if we use Boogie's 3.5m salary in a trade, if he comes back or we don't use it by March 10th.

However let's say we use the dpe first, then Boogie comes back earlier than expected...the player we used the 1.75m on won't suddenly be waived from our team just cause Boog is back.

Also we can use it on expiring deals only. We can trade for 1.85m in an expiring deal, get a waived player making 1.75m or less as an expiring deal or sign any available free agent to a one year 1.75m deal.

Of course, under all those scenarios, you need an available roster spot and currently we have none if you count Dwights non-guaranteed deal.

As for the GianniS news...all my tinfoil wearing a** can connect is the Freak "returning the favor" by picking Steph first during the Allstar game selections as team captain when Steph did the same for him the year before.

    We will wait until buyout.

We can offer the full 1.75 while teams left with the minimum will be offering much less since the minimum they can offer is then prorated for like 1/3 of the season. The exception isn't prorated.

Hopefully a cp3 trade to miami where Dragic gets bought out

    Not so fast Morey...

Haha....I will admit, it was a nice try. Also it took a minute for the league to become aware that their former exec of the year is a habitual CBA tamperer.

Also it looks like the Pels will directly compete with our potential offer of 1.75m with their 3.63m via their Miller dpe.

We don't need more pgs. I think Dragic is better than any pg we have, but we are in desperate need of bigs. And if we don't sign a big, we're going to sign Iggy or Melo.

If we sign Iggy I won't ask for anything more this season.

    Bigs???

    You mean forward depth?

Sign dragic. Cut Daniels or rondope. Sign a wing

We are going to regret not having a guard penetrator if Caruso doesn’t become that guy

i mean, the league has sort of giggled at the outright tampering going on for years. i'd actually vote the other way: get rid of unenforceable rules. they're a joke.

everyone can talk to anyone, always--because they can. if you don't like it that someone is talking to your player, talk to theirs.

anyway, this won't end the "player empowerment era", if that's what they're hoping. and it's not going to protect small markets. so, is it just for PR? seems like it. ok.

I don’t think they can penalize teams for what the players decide to do, but they’ll put tight reins on the teams to try to keep them accountable to the rules they were supposed to be following anyways.

This is all about optics in my humble opinion.

However, what people aren't talking about is the fact that we aren't close to meeting quota for the first time in about 20 years. It's like Lebron forced the team to give the league the bird and refuse to sign anyone but Caruso.

This may be their way to open the door to penalize us year after year as one of the "random 5 teams" that get audited. It's really the Lakers and 4 other teams.

So I understand a Green and Caruso sighting at a Klutch run in LA...but someone wanna fill me in on what Cp3 is doing there? It’s a long way from OKC, dorth3.
