I saw on ESPN that Caesar's has us as favorites again, after seeing not TOO long ago the odds shift towards Slippers' favor after boogie going down. Lakers +300 Slippers+450
weird. i'm a fan of this roster, but i think a title is a long shot, particularly after boogie went down, as i thought he was the best-case-scenario wildcard (a longshot in itself, but better than the shot we have with the rest of the roster dramatically outperforming expectations).
If Vegas has us favorites... that means they know we are fully capable of doing so. Anyways, being a contender is good enough for me. We've a LOOONGGGGGG way lolz.
1 injury for all contenders changes everything. VEGAS oddsmakers fluctuate based on amount of money bet at what odds, and is not a super great prediction of outcome. That being said, we’re obviously viewed as a top tier team, and that’s pretty awesome.
I'm with SFGOLDRUSHER here. Just glad we are a contender and it's a long season. I'm hoping we are there at the finish line and get back to winning a championship. As abeer3 said, my hope (and the odds too) took a dip with the Boogie news as he really had a huge potential to make us a dominant force in the front court if he could recover most of his health. AD Boogie would have been powerful. Dwight is a big what if, but he does have a better record of being able to stay healthy. We've got some holes but hopefully we can get this done.
