You seem high on Houston. Can you give a brief explanation as to why?

It's his ability/affinity for Anti-Jinx Hi-jinks. That or he's had one too many beers.

    Brief enough for you?

Houston replaced an oft-injured ball dominant star guard for a younger, healthier one, and otherwise returns a team that’s won a ton of games the last 2-3 years. Same coach, same system, too. I expect them to finish 1st in the west.

You guys can laugh at abeer all you want, but his tactics are working so I hope he keeps them up.

    :Noddingyes:

Seriously though, Houston came within one game of the Finals 2 years ago, and yes, they replaced a guy that always gets injured in the end with one who is much more stable in that regard and that has actually played in a Finals before, they are as big a threat as anyone. I said if I were Iggy I’d prefer to play with LeBron and Davis, willing passers (I know Westbrook averages double digit assists, but he does it by extreme ball dominance ala Rondo and CP3), but Iggy might not see it that way, and Houston has an easier path than ever with GS losing Durant and Klay being hurt.

Iggy going to Houston would hurt but it also makes sense. He's exactly what they need and he'd be starting, and he'd get paid more.

With the Lakers...he'd have a very key role and wouldn't be relied on as much...I wonder how BIG of a role he'd want though as he enters his last few years in his career...maybe a reduced role is better for him at thsi stage?

Just anywhere but the god damn CLIPPERS.

Iggy would come off the bench in Houston, I think—mda won’t go defense over offense—Gordon starts.

I know that happens but one word of advice is when you are struggling for the right word, Nazi's, Hitler and Terrorist Bombings are not where you want to go with things. But, at least here, you are among friends.

Houston isn't trading Gordon or Capela for a guy that will be 36 in January no matter how good Iggy looks on their roster on paper. It's been suggested they could resign Shumpert and trade him for Iggy but they have no 1st round picks to attach for years due to the CP3 trade which Memphis would want especially if they have to overpay Shumpert so much on a new deal that makes a trade for Iggy work. It will also cost Houston a fortune in Lux Tax to do this. Houston is not a target for Iggy in a buyout either.

Clippers, I posted about in the WMC thread, one of the dudes on Clipcast claims he has a source close to Iggy that says he will join the Clips on 9/3. It seems strange to me that he would know that because if Memphis were trying to work the best trade they would be in silence mode or have another potential suitor planted in the media. Yes, he could still also go there in a buyout.

Lakers: the Clipper stuff very much contradicts reports from weeks back like this from July 1 by Stephen A:

It also seems apparent why Rob saved that 15th roster spot until Cousins went down but easy enough to waive Cousins to create another.

Hey Iso Joe, would you like to meet Bench Bron during the regular season?

We could use a guy that can get his own shot. Not sure we have that in spades right now.

Westbrook's game is individual ball. CP3 was team ball. Westbrook always ends up going back to individual ball. Until he stops, I do not expect Houston to improve.

Used to be a great player, but this is Big 3, not NBA. I mean, Amare did just fine in Big 3.

    Unfortunately it's not a joke.

I'm seriously concerned for bringing Bron/AD enough off the bench so they don't have to overdo it in the regular season.

The joke is the depth we have on the frontline. It's Kuz, Dudz and 2way Kostas...that right there could kost us superstar health when we get to May.

Bring me a guy that can hold Bron's (and possibly AD's) minutes down while they can playmake and have the ball run through them on the 2nd unit.

If not Iso Joe, then go get someone else from the hood...

Also here's another joke... saying players are washed after they come out the Htown/MDA farm. The clown show they run there should hold trivial weight to how valuable a player is/could be.

    Speaking of JokeRs...
