It’s a non-guaranteed deal and this isn’t a team of kids anymore. He’ll fall in line or he’ll be cut. There’s no doubt Lebron and AD were involved in the process so let’s see if he can be happy with 10-15mpg

From a role aspect and purely from an on-court view, he fits, lets AD be that PF, gives LBJ a target inside and provides that rim D.

It's all about the mindset. Clearly LBJ, AD, Rondo, Vogel & Co feel they can get him to play nice in the sandbox with everyone. I'm gonna choose to be positive about this. IF he REALLY is ready to grow up and be a role player on a championship team this could work.

Still, remember all that chemistry our centers had when it was Chandler, McGee,Zubac, Mo & Williams? Oh well, non-guaranteed, they can oust him anytime if need be.

I think Dwight can still be a positive player, but I thought Noah was a much better fit.

Howard is so similar to Mcgee, maybe even worse now.

Noah could at least pass very well for a big.

We are limited on playmakers. Would have liked if our C could hit the midrange jumper at least. Would have been nice if we kept Brook last summer.

Howard becomes a 3m cap hit and the Griz will be able to set-off Howard's 2.6m when it becomes guaranteed. So essentially a 5.6m cap hit will become a 2.4m cap hit for the Griz, giving the Griz a net saving of 2.6m had they just waived him outright without a buyout.

This should give us a slight forecast in how they approach Iggy with a buyout. It looks like Iggy will have to give a significant amount back to gain his free agency.

Also the longer the Griz wait, they'll be responsible for the prorated amount of Iggy's contract if/when he gets bought out.

Taking D11 has to leverage L.A’s position for Iggy. That would be a multi-level chess move that sounds like something Peli would do. I hope...

    Bigger need?

    1) A combo guard who can create for himself a bit, hit shots, and play some d. Think FVV type. Darren Collison would have been perfect. Caruso may be that guy, but lets see

    2) A defensive wing such as Iggy

And Caruso fits there too. WTF why do so many forget or downplay him when he has size and D and ball handling skills .... plus shot lights out from 3 last year when given the chance to play.

I think Caruso will surprise some people. He has handles, plays good D and is disciplined. I like his game. I think he is routinely forgotten and not taken seriously because he looks like he works at Dunkin Donuts with the wispy hair and pube fuzz on his face! LOL!

Sure, but I am not sure how good he is at creating for himself off the dribble if we need it. Lets see

I think Caruso is that guy, but u can never have enough guys who can shoot it, play some d, and create a bit when it comes to a tough playoff series
