    What am I up to?

Putting a smile on that face of yours.

As for me, 3stars would definitely put a smile on my face. There are better configurations of course, but Bron/AD/Cp3...yeah I can f*** with that (as unlikely as it is).

Getting CP3 here is the worst idea ever. May risk AD walking, it's that bad.

Hold on, you ACTUALLY want CP3 and you’re willing to give up Green and McGee? CP3 is hurt every year when it counts. Good forbid the extra load that Bron and AD would have to carry while Paul recovers from his yearly injury.

I don't even think CP3 being injury prone is the worst thing. His contract alone would take us out of signing a legit player in FA 2 years from now which is when we are already scheduled to have a ton of cap space again.

First, look at Cp3's defensive rating numbers (best in Htown and it's not close). Perimeter defense wouldn't go to s*** if we send out Green.

Second, look at Bron's usage from October to December last year before the injury. With Cp3, we likely get a healthier version of Bron when it Maytters.

Third, his injuries are a concern for sure, but not having to deal with MDA's high usage offense and having Bron and AD to lean on is vastly different than having to be "the" guy setting up Blake and DJ during lob city or covering for Harden on defense in Htown. Also we had injury/minute concerns with Mcgee that can be addressed in the buyout market...and how would you feel if I told you for his career Green avg 25mins per game and faded badly in the postseason last year while Cp3 put up similar defensive rating numbers to Green while avg 8 more minutes per game than Green did. AvBrad has injury concerns as well.

Fourth, part of any hypothetical Cp3 deal is whether he agrees to opt out of his final year which would still preserve cap space in 2021, especially if Bron opts out as well.

Fifth, I plead that guys that were the alphas on their team and haven't won the chip before in Cp3/Melo are probably better gets to add to another guy that is hungry to win one in AD than guys like Green/McGee who are both 20-25min per "others" that have already tasted the promise land. Bron is the only dude necessary in bringing title experience to our squad. I rather have doggs still hungry for that elusive title.

Cp3 wouldn't be my 1st choice, but under our current circumstances, its hardly the option you can unilaterally dismiss, especially if Bron/Klutch have any say in the matter.

Spoiler alert: Green/Kcp/Mcgee wasnt our first choice this summer. Cp3 can still ball and he's never really had talent like Bron/AD to play with before. All of these guys can help each other stay relatively healthy during the regular season with oversight from our newly configured med staff...then when May hits, they'll have enough juice to hit back.

I’d would argue some of the points but I’m just going to agree to disagree. I don’t want CP3 if you give him to me and certainly not if I have to give up something. We are just too far apart on this subject to have a valid discussion.

And you shouldn't take this discussion seriously either, cause there's way too many propellers to flop through for this scenario to even take off.

Still Cp3 or the likes of him to take the ball out of Bron's hands during the regular season is something we should look at. I don't like the idea of putting too much on Bron during the regular season. Get him to May relatively healthy and then let the man go to work. Till then, I hope we can hold him below a usage rate of 30.

Anyways.... Melo looks like the more likelier option.

Yeah, giving up 45 million is the biggest of the many stretches presented.

Opt out when he's 36. Sign a 3yr 50-60m deal to take him to age 38.

#Over38Rule... something he knows all to well.

I’d prefer players actually do something as Lakers before including in any “All Time” lists, All Time” teams, etc.

And I’m his biggest fan tbh

Neither are All Time Great Lakers until they do something legendary as Lakers.

Sorry, I don’t make the rules. Unless Lebron actually accomplishes winning championships as a Laker, his jersey doesn’t get retired either. He knows that.

I see it your way, think trading those guys along with whatever else it would take to make the money right, seems like a losing deal to me. CP3 is at the very end of his career, I don't want him any more than I want Wall or Melo.

If Chris Paul had not been "basketball reasoned" from coming to the Lakers vs what he and the rest of them became on the Clippers with the disgusting flopping and whining, I have no doubt Kobe would have laid down the law to him all that BS was not going to happen on Kobe's team. "Where the f*** are your balls, Chris?" "Knock that s*** off, you're on the Lakers now."
