Lottery is right around the corner, I don't think I'm going to be productive Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

WCS waay more value than and no likelihood of turning into Sacre 2.0. Too explosive and game changing a player. 7 foot with that speed, timing and athleticism. Caveat of course continued good health. Tons of room for improvement and addition of man muscle.

I was going to call bull bleep and for pics to prove it after seeing this photo of Okafor with the kiddie basketball. Then I remembered Okafor and Towns and (someone else?) decided they were "too good" to go to the combine. Well they are, not needed. Anyway I would like to see Uphaw's hand on the ball like this pic of Okafor's for comparison.

Yeah....damn....that's a big pair of mitts and wingspan too. Wow! Not as freakishly large as Okafors but BIG nonetheless.

His hand measurement was 10" length by 11" width.

That was largest among those measured. WCS was 9.5x9.0 by comparison.

That's what I seen during the totality of the college season; explosive, can switch on pick in rolls, good rim-protector, doesn't make silly fouls, etc; now, the knock on him was his lack of an offensive repertoire. Nevertheless, if he could even have Jordan's impact on the Clips, that'd be a huge plus for our team and something we have desperately needed for awhile now...

    From Scott Howard-Cooper of NBA.com:

Kristaps Porzingis, a smooth-shooting power forward from Latvia, has emerged as a serious threat to break into the top three of the June 25 draft in a potential serious shakeup to the long-held perception the top four spots are set, with some executives at the pre-draft combine here saying Porzingis could go second.

“He could go two,” one general manager said. “He’s that good. Nobody says anything bad about him.”
Said the head of basketball operations for another team: “I think he’s a lock for the top five and I wouldn’t be surprised to see him go as high as top three. He’s good. We all like to do our comparables. He’s like Dirk Nowitzki or Pau Gasol….. I’d take him ahead of (Jahlil) Okafor.”

Another curve ball in the top 5 potentially?

Lol. No way in hell would I take Porzingis ahead of at least 7 or 8 players....I hope to GOD we don't get sucked into taking this guy. I would love for New York or Philly to take a chance on him though!!!

I've never seen anything yet and not motivated unless someone tells me I really need to spend some time on youtube with Porzingis, but why would anyone take him over Frank Kaminsky??

I'd take him over kaminsky (his shot is quicker and more fluid, and so is he), but not over towns or okafor. I've been underwhelmed by all footage I've seen so far.

OK I went halfway through one of the 3 minute clips on him, don't have patience for the full 11 minute breakdowns. If Kaminsky is Frank the Tank this guy is Kristaps the Twig. To be fair hard to tell with what I was willing to watch. Lot of dunks, big whoop with his height and some shots but not against elite competition of course. Seemed to me like Kaminsky can do more things on offense with the ball including in the post.

Biyombo may be a good rim protector, but I'm not sure I want a 6'9 center when it comes down to it.

Another thing WCS excels at is his ability to defend almost every position. He can switch 1-5 pick and rolls and still cause the guard problems. That itself is increasingly valuable in today's NBA. His pick and roll defense is top notch.
