We're good at the point / initiating the offense. Am counting on his word that Avery is healthy and he's only 28, and continued improvement from Caruso (which would make him really solid) and certainly Cook has playoff and championship experience. Not to mention LeBron who will cary a lot of that responsibility happily as that's how he has always played.

Can't believe nobody is talking about cry baby booty Steve Kerr.

You know darn well he wouldn't have said it's bad for the league essentially AD forcing his way to the Lakers if it had been GSW instead. Pure pity. It's sad. Lost my respect for Kerr.

    does portland want iggy?

the clips already said they wouldn't trade harkless for iggy.

    the market is basically non-existent.

this can change in december, perhaps, but then the lakers can get back in it with trade packages. it's wise to wait it out. i think he'll be bought out. reminds of me of wes matthews last year. just because memphis wants a 1st round pick or a prospect doesn't mean they'll get it. and salary matching on iguodala is tough. add in the player relations angle, and i just don't see how this ends with them having their demands met.

i'm not that worried. lots of top teams have had unimpressive pgs over the past decade-plus, and guys will get bought out, etc. and again, come december, we have plenty of moveable contracts should things get dire. this is the advantage to not locking up huge salary in just three guys.

Brings up AD who gave his team notice so they could get the best deal possible, and when ignored and they tried to go around his agent went public with it.

Doesn't bring up PG who was 1 year into a 4 year contract.

Doesn't bring up trading players who signed with his team, and traded elsewhere.

Sorry Steve, you can't have it both ways. You're not the only team that can stack all stars.

Yeah Steve who just had one of the most stacked teams in modern history wants to tell us what's good for the league? No offense, but go f*** yourself Kerr.

Paul George asked out one freaking season after signing a new contract to go play with arguably the best player in the world in his home town. But let's get outraged over AD asking out after the Pelicans failed to build anything around him for 7 years.

Do they still have any of their RE? If not, that's a minimum contract which is pretty impressive (for MIL) for a former Top 5 pick.

Steve Kerr sounds like an idiot regarding this, so screw him. Also, The Thunder come off as really weak here, PG was under contract for 3 more years, what was he going to do, sit those years out?

The thunder owner is cheap, and traded Paul George and got assets for him for an aging Chris Paul. (Will most likely get traded eventually or bought out). I just wish they never traded Paul so that we could've gotten Kawhi. Oh well, we got a deep team with potentially 4 all Stars in LeBron, AD, Cousins and Kuzma

But you want multiple ball handlers out there for defensive schemes

    Look at GS when healthy:
    Curry, Klay, Iggy, KD, Dray

All 5 can playmake and create for themselves or others to some extent

    Look at Raps this year:
Lowry, Green, Kawhi, Siakam, and Marc

4/5 guys can pass it or create for themselves or others

    Us:
    Caruso/Avery, Green, Lebron, Kuzma, AD

3/5 guys I know right now can dot hat and Kuzma isn't a good passer yet. Maybe Caruso can be that 4th guy.

Where have clippers said that? And even if they do, lets see

Why wouldn't portland want him? They can use quality defensive wing to close out games. If it just costs them an expiring and a couple of 2nds? Better than nothing right

Boogie can't pass or create for himself? He had 5.4 assists when he had AD as a target. And he sure as hell can create offense for himself.

I'll put myself out there and say I expect him to become a valuable rotation player this year and what he brings is what you're looking for. I'm really rooting for him, not to mention he has great bang for the buck value. 6'5" point guards with his skills and good enough athleticism Rock.

too lazy to look up specifics, but i know they've turned down chances to move harkless as ballast.

you're speculating on portland. do they want him if he doesn't want to be there? do they have that much expendable salary? if it's whiteside, does memphis want to ADD salary in a deal?

    think he'll be bought out.
