I'm hoping for Cook - Green - Lebron - AD - McGee, but with Bradley and Kuz ultimately ending at close to 30mpg - Boogie I'm not sure how many minutes, just don't want to see him get hurt and have setbacks.

Boogie starting or not could depend on IMO IF the Lakers feel they need his offense and shooting with the starting lineup because perhaps IF they feel like it's unnecessary/not needed, perhaps they do start McGee for further defense.

    I think it’ll be:

    Bradley
    Green
    Lebron
    AD
    Cousins

What scares me most is Javale getting butthurt over not starting. We don’t need him giving less than 100% because he’s coming off the bench.

I agree about JaVale. But IMO he could make a bigger defensive impact off the bench.
Kind of like the counter argument of Kuz coming off the bench for a bigger offensive scoring impact.

Thankfully there's a ton of time until the first regular season game so everyone all the players could come to a realization of what's best for the Lakers&hopefully that's what's truly best for the players too.

Guys, Javale is and has always been a borderline starter/bench player in this league. Playing backup to an allstar on a title contender vs fighting minutes with Zubac are two distinct scenarios. His ego will be just fine.

I tend to agree. When you are playing behind someone that kicks your arse every day in practice, it’s a little easier to defer.

If a clear pecking order isn’t established early at center naturally, that means we are in for a bumpy ride this year.

And what could be worse for you than a bumpy "meh" ride? Feeling your pain Bro. But you're a giver and keep showing up. We'll all just have to try to find ways to keep you interested. No worries methinks.

Not to mention he was playing on a minimum contract working for his next deal. Playing behind Zubac is a big problem if he's looking for his next check. He's on a two year deal now so less pressure to get his next deal.

I think as long as he and Cousins are about split even on minutes it doesn’t matter who starts. And maybe some nights McGee will finish the game, maybe some neither of them will and it will be AD. But as long as McGee is getting his 20 mpg, Cousins 20-some as he still works back into game shape, I don’t think it should be an issue if Cousins starts, there’s more than enough playing time to go around.

I think in prior years when our roster was mainly made up of young players (years experience 1-4 years) this would still concern me too. But this year, finally, we have more of a veteran team with guys that have been in a league a while and won. I see guys like Danny Green or Jared Dudley being the main veteran guys that can talk with anyone having a hard time and get them in the right place again. But I don't anticipate issues even if the LA media will want to start something for no good reason.

I'm all in Kuzma starting now after Boogie going down.

    LeBron
    Green
    Kuzma
    Davis
    McGee

    Small ball LakeShow
    LeBron
    Bradley
    Green
    Kuzma
    Davis
(LBJ could guard/play at the 4 defensively)

If we're going to start Kuzma, he should be starting at the 4 with Davis at the 5, lebron at 3, Green at 2 and Bradley at 1.

Likely though, since AD doesn't wanna play 5....it'll be Bradley, Green, LeBron, AD, McGee with Noah (hopefully), Dudley, Kuzma, KCP, Rondo off the bench.

    McGee
    AD
    Lebron
    Green
Bradley or Cook depending on match up

AD is going to have to suck it up and play SOME center minutes, give the rest to whichever center we pick up
Kuz plays both SF and PF
Guard rotation is pretty much on match up or who has the hot hand (if Rondo can check his ego)

The Bald Eagle gets consistently overlooked by too many on LB.

    Bump.

    Hope Kuzma starts at SF.
    LeBron
    Green
    Kuz
    AD
    McGee

See what happens, worse come to worst you slide in Bradley or another guard in the starting lineup. Danny Green can guard PG's.

Wonder if Lakers will use different starting lineups based on matchups.

Perhaps preseason could determine starting lineup&rotations?

    Trudell recently did a Q&A
    https://www.nba.com/lakers/mikes-mailbag

And this is his depth chart at the moment:

PG: Avery Bradley, Alex Caruso, Rajon Rondo, Quinn Cook
SG: Danny Green, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Troy Daniels
SF: LeBron James, Kyle Kuzma, Talen Horton-Tucker
PF: Anthony Davis, Jared Dudley, Kostas Antetokounmpo (2-way)
    C: DeMarcus Cousins, JaVale McGee

It's interesting that he has Av to start (although he concedes that the coaching staff will look at that to decide if it's really his...I guess dude is paid the most of Caruso & Rondo so salary dictates depth? Idk about that) and mentions that Caruso could take that starting role moving Rondo to the bench.

Also he believes Javale will start after what happened to Boog and it's up to Dwight to earn that starting gig back.
