I hope the Clippers get their own arena... in Seattle, or Vancouver, or Vegas, or San Diego where they actually belong.

Yeah but F'em all. Let them take each other down. No skin off my back, got no love for Dolan, Ballmer or Inglewood.

He owns the Forum too. He has a right to be pissed, it was probably misrepresented to him when he bought it. But who knows, he is a douche bag, but what makes you think the politicians in Inglewood are any better?? I mean they are politicians!

They are not really hated for leaving, they are hated for being so horrible while they were here. By the time they left, nobody cared more than a good riddance.

I'm pretty sure San Diego would welcome them back.

Ballmer is a good person and the Clippers should have their own stadium. Inglewood is the perfect location for a stadium.

NBA will be expanding to 32 teams in the future. This is my prediction. So moving the Clippers to Seattle is not needed. LA has to have two teams, it's just too big, especially with Ballmer running it. The two additions will be Seattle(Return of the Sonics) and Las Vegas. Here is what the Divisions and Conferences would look like if I had made the call:

    Western Conference

    Pacific Division
    Los Angeles Lakers
    Los Angeles Clippers
    Las Vegas TBA
    Phoenix Suns

    Northwest Division
    Golden St. Warriors
    Portland Trail Blazers
    Sacramento Kings
    Seattle SuperSonics

    Midwest Division
    Dallas Mavericks
    Denver Nuggets
    Oklahoma City Thunder
    Utah Jazz

    Southwest Division

    Houston Rockets
    Memphis Grizzlies
    New Orleans Pelicans
    San Antonio Spurs

    Eastern Conference

    Atlantic Division
    Boston C Bags
    Brooklyn Nets
    New York Knicks
    Philadelphia 76ers

    Central Division

    Chicago Bulls
    Indiana Pacers
    Milwaukee Bucks
    Minnesota Timberwolves

    Mideast Division
    Cleveland Cavaliers
    Detroit Pistons
    Toronto Raptors
    Washington Wizards

    Southeast Division
    Atlanta Hawks
    Charlotte Hornets
    Orlando Magic
    Miami Heat

The NBA is in the "load management" era. They are discussing less games, more breaks, all that stuff. The solution isn't less games, the solution is "load managment". If you lessened the games, records become an issue in the NBA. So, with this new alignment, make division titles matter again and manage the game travel better.

Limit games from coast to coast. Make out of conference games just 1 game for all teams(This saves ALOT of travel wear and jetlag). Have the division teams play each other 6 times, 3 at home, 3 away, travel here is very minimal, as you can see, the new alignment has all the teams within a very close proximity of each other.

16 games against outer conference (1 per team)

48 games against conference (not in division) opponents (4 times, 2 at home, 2 on the road)

18 games against division opponents (6 times, 3 at home, 3 on the road)

    Total: 82 games

Division winners get seed 1 thru 4 and home court. Even if they face a team that didn't win the division and has a better record. Again, this is the incentive to win the division again. Some teams may get the s*** end of the stick, but nothing is perfect and that's just something you have to deal with if it happens.

Went off tangent a little but you can see that this at least can make sense.

There's not a good justification for the Clippers having their own arena. They dont sell enough or at a high enough price point, there's already going to be two venues in Inglewood for other events that would typically go to a basketball stadium like concerts (the Forum and Kroenke's new stadium), and Inglewood is already destined to be a cluster you-know-what.

Their best move is still moving to OC or SD or better yet Seattle.

Clippers aren't moving. Back to San Diego would be nice. Ballmer has the money to get an Arena built there and San Diego needs another team there.

Well we don’t want them in Anaheim, I feel confident in saying that. The people in charge of the city might want an NBA team, but this has always been a Lakers town, I would bet more people show up to the one or two preseason games at the Honda Center we usually get than they would for real Clippers games.

If they move to San Diego, that would be a lot closer to Kawhi’s house.

I'm not sure of that, we have some pretty weird fans down here and most voters could care less about sports in general.

I think it's a smart move for them. The only problem is 30% of the LA market is still at least comparable to 100% of the SD market (numbers pulled from my ***). I think Seattle is the best, best bet. A really big market that's starving for an NBA team that has ties to Ballmer. Their market share would be larger than here in LA and while the ceiling is lower, the Clippers will never have a strong market share in Los Angeles. Competing for the Lakers' scraps in this town is a fool's errand. They're behind the Dodgers, Lakers, Rams, Trojans, and at this point they're probably tied with LAFC who has really come on strong. That's not to mention the Kings when they're good, the Ducks and Angels are huge in Orange County. The Clippers and the Chargers have a ceiling on their popularity in this city, that's just the truth.

Imagine if Kawhi left Canada to come back home and then Clippers move to Vancouver. Or hell, any where outside of SoCal.
