I really don't know why the Lakers don't just pull the trigger on Sefolosha if Memphis isn't going to buy out Iggy. His defense is superb and he can really hit the three. He's that backup SF we really need. Based on his DRAYMOND score https://fivethirtyeight.com/features/a-better-way-to-evaluate-nba-defense/ he ranks only behind AD and McGee on our team with a 1.674 defensive rating and only Danny Green and Alex Caruso hit the three ball better than his .436 clip last year.

    GET IT DONE, ROB

There’s no rush right now, that’s why. If Memphis can’t find a trade partner, maybe they buy him out. If he’s bought out you’d have to think he is choosing between us and the Clippers, and that is not a guy you want going to them. If I’m the Lakers I leave that last spot open as long as possible, Iggy is so valuable with his skill set that even the possibility that he ends up on the market means you kind of have to leave a spot open for him. It’s also still possible that whenever Dragic lands in a potential Westbrook he gets bought out too, and leaving a spot open for a guard of his skills would be wise too.

I like the thought of Sefolosha, my homie named dropped him the other day.

The conspiracy side out of me is asking if the Lakers believe Iggy will be bought out soon, just taking some time because why haven't they signed another wing that's 6'7+ wing yet?
If he's not being bought out then when the heck is Iggy going to be traded?

Something isn't adding up or does it add up and we have to wait?

we're waiting to see who blinks first

the team wanting to save money on buying out a player, or the player willing to give up money to go where they want

Yup. What it smells like to me, praying it happens.
Rob planned that seed a long time ago barring a desperate ducking team blows it for us somehow.

Because he isn't much of a threat on offense and can do less than danny green on offense

In the playoffs, teams will force him to beat us. Will he really be closing games out or playing very important minutes? Probably not. Dudley is good enough, and a bigger body.

I rather us keep that spot open for now, unless we can just waive a guy like Troy Daniels since we have Cook. But Iggy is the guy obv

I wonder if there are any trades we may possible be able to make come December or later

Maybe an Andre Roberson move? Not sure what we move salary wise though unless its KCP (NTC is tough unless he wnats out for limited min) THT/2nd. He can't shoot it obviously but an elite defender. Or like Avery, Cook, and THT

Any names we aren't thinking of?

^ There'll be no trading KCP unless Rich Paul says it' s ok. As concerns Klutch clients on the Lakers, Paul is very much the GM.

You do realize you just confirmed we were his fallback plan and not his preferred choice Right? Even worst his last choice if all else failed.

If you believe stringing out a choice to a destination that "YOU" asked to be traded to, and then asking them to delay the trade. That you know will not only cost them more options to build a competitive team but is likely going to be very hard to do. To give that team competition a better shot at getting an advantage of signing you isn't leading on. I got some prime property in the Atchafalaya basin I can sell you at a bargain price.

Why is this thread still being held hostage to arguing over a Clipper?

If you're confused so am I. Why? Cook can handle the ball and play point if at some point that's needed in a game plus shoot. I asked in Troy's thread if he could handle the ball and or do anything else besides shoot. No one answered ... maybe you know?

On the offensive side of the ball, Troy Daniels is nothing more than a sharpshooter.

He lacks the ability to create his own shot or do much of anything else.
