we managed to put together a solid team that’s got depth, shooting, and defense. I think the market dictated some of the prices we paid for players and we could’ve easily come out worse.

The max plan was always a long shot built largely on the hubris of Magic, Jeannie and Rob. Several of us doubted its viability from minute one and were constantly in back and forths on here about it.

If anything I kind of give them credit for even coming close to pulling it off.

We walk away from all of it with the best duo in the NBA and a team with solid depth that can legit win a title. Even as a critic that’s all I can ask for. There are things I want to see from them moving forward but we’re in a good position right now.

I don't know where that started but it simply wasn't so for last year. Screenshot_20190708-180715.jpg Screenshot_20190708-180743.jpg

That's not a defecto trade clause. That's a "trade kicker". Which mean if he's traded he is owed a bounus, which can be waived. i.e. Anthony Davis. I just showed you both contracts side by side. With the first showing the trade clause.

Even so, his PO this year gives him a defacto No Trade Clause.

No sir. You said he didn't have a de facto no trade clause and he does. He had one last year and has one this year as well. It's explained in both tweets.

Lost in all the FA hoopla. #Kawhi clearly tampered with players under contract before FA open. But not a peep about it from the media or #AdamSilver

He got a guy with 3 years left on his contract to demand a trade so he could play with him. I keep seeing people say it’s the same as AD, but it’s really not. AD had a year and change left on his deal and he informed the Pelicans they could trade him or he’s walk in free agency. One is a little more of a courtesy and one is plain and simple jumping ship. But it’s not the Lakers, so it’s cool.

Clippers whole recruitment of Kawhi was filled with tampering. No doubt the same happened with Brooklyn.

But it’s not the Lakers so no problem.

I totally get what you're saying here but the one problem with it is simply put, we would have really missed out on filling the roster with what depth we have now because this would have taken us longer into free agency and some of these guys would have signed elsewhere. Do you sacrifice solid depth this season for assets, one of the last good seasons LeBron has left?

I like the Bradley signing, but wonder if that exception we used on him will be the difference in getting Iggy. Would suck to see him go to the Clippers.

If Iggy is smart he would choose the Houstcan over the Claps.

Honestly they are my number 1 seed in teh West now that the Warios are done.

    Imagine that death line up:

    Hardcan
    Tucker
    Iggy
    Gordon
    Capela

Hardcan can create anything he wants anytime he wants and that D with that squad would be pretty damn solid.

Aside from that I would rather he went anywhere besides the Claps. f*** them, when are they moving out of LA anyways?

Jeanie agrees. Especially after vash was justifying Mag throwing the kitchen sink, the fridge and the micro wave into his offer at the deadline this year for a "chance to not waste a title chance while Bron is here". So now that is exactly what would be risked in year 2 for some silly excursion into possible involvement in a possible Westbrook trade now 3 days and counting past getting the word Friday night with our Plan B targets on red alert waiting for the past 8 days already.

And while all the whining b****es sit there doing what they do. The Lakers need to answer by beating the eff out of them. That's how you punish those who tampered.

I like what the Lakers have done the last several days, even moreso now that Avery Bradley is in the fold.

Also, as much as I’m a fan of Russell Westbrook, I’m glad we didn’t try and trade for him out of desperation after Kawhi went to the Clippers. I don’t see him being a fit with LeBron. However I hope wherever he goes, he can get with a shooting coach to help him fix his J and that the team will fix his shot selection issues too.

I don’t think I’ve ever wanted to see the Clippers fail more than I do in the last 72 hours.
