I could see them not buying him out as he's a good character and still a quality player to play with the youth. Now trading him is going to be more difficult with that contract: don't think they're are any realistic ones out there with the cap space to take on his contract. Probably most likely is they keep him and buy him out during the season.
It's a great signing if he can get back to what he was a few years ago. Looks like he had some kind of injury that he's been recovering from the last two seasons.
PG Rotation = Caruso/Cook/Rondo SG Rotation = Green/Bradley/KCP/Daniels I really like this signing & wanted Bradley all along, but how do we split up those minutes at SG..? Felt like we needed a legit backup SF. Looks like Kuz is gonna see a lot of time at the 3..?
I'd start Bradley at the 1. Lebron handles the ball with the starters anyway. Way better than Rondo starting.
Bradley is probably the most capable on both ends out of anybody at PG. If he can get back into his Boston form, that would make us really, really good. We’re extremely deep now. Won’t expect much time behind Lebron at SF anyway. Kuz will likely be taking whatever is left being AD and Bron.
i second this. what if he really gets claimed by another team and doesn't clear waivers. lakers SOL at that point, right?
Wonderful signing. I know he's had his ups and downs the last couple years, but people sleep on how effective he was in Memphis. I know it's a small sample size but in 14 games with Memphis he averaged 16 points, 3 rebounds, and 4 assists with a steal in 31 minutes per game. Everyone says he hasn't been good since his Boston days, but honestly those numbers are almost identical to his last season in Boston. His offense in his Clipper/Detroit days was really rough, but started to show signs of life again in Memphis. No matter what he's a good shooter and he'll be a guy who will give his all defensively. I'm very excited about this addition.
Most likely as we only have the minimum to offer him now. We could still technically sign him if he's willing to play for the minimum.
On second thought...I really hope this doesn't take us out of the Iggy running....but then again..Iggy isn't an FA yet so we can't bank on that. Plus we really needed guard depth. And Bradley SHOULD be our starting PG because of his ability to defend and shoot the ball (versus Rondo). Just keep in mind he was All-Defensive 1st Team IN 2017 and then he suffered some bad injuries which took a toll on him. He could be our patrick beverley as he's still only 28 years old so I'm hoping his works out for him plus he's going to be ona team where he'll get plenty of open looks...oh and he can shoot FT's (once again, way better than Rondo).
We are suddenly deep. I like the signing and I am quite familiar with his game: He is an undersized SG, who can easily play some 1 for us because we have Bron. He was bad with the Clippers, but very good with Memphis. He’s not what he used to be defensively, but he is still very capable. Slightly above average 3pt shooter IMO. We have better ones, but he is not the guy you want to dare shoot either. He and Rondo are really good friends Bradley is a good leader and a classy guy AFAIK. Overall, he adds necessary depth at both guard spots, and uh... what else? He’s not old.
Mehh he was terrible on the Clippers but put up pretty decent numbers for Memphis in a limited # of games... Really would have liked JaMychal Green, dang.
He had a lot of nagging injuries last year. Hopefully he comes in great shape and injury free. He's a hound on defense though. I think he should start at PG
