I was just going off of watching him in Boston the last 2 years. He’s a good shooter, tough player, decent defender, I would take him at 10 mil over KCP at 8. He’s not an amazing player, but he seems to be less of a disaster when at his worst than KCP, that’d be my main case. But I’m not upset or anything, he was always a long shot and we needed guards more than bigs at that point anyway, so I do understand the move.

got baby right now; I'll try to dig up stats later: the defensive stats on Morris are... not kind.

So cap space taken care of. Waiting for the AD trade and then the min deals.
We're still left with the room exception right?

And they were such big losers in San Diego that they were forced to bail to a larger market.

    A+ cap management if true.

But Rob doesn't know the cap. He's probably scrambling for an abacus.

Meh, he probably had to “call the Pelicans back.” Sigh. Ramona annoys me.

Damn, I liked him, I wonder if that means he’s out or if we can get him back on a 2-way. You can’t really rely on Cousins and McGee for perfect health and tons of minutes, and AD needs some “load management”, we still need a reserve big dude to do the dirty work and give 6 fouls.

Is here anyone here who is 6-11 or over and is willing to take the minimum?

Although I would ideally like Iguodala (his difficulty getting a buyout leaves him up in the air), Simmons would actually be a solid option as a backup SF. He was a great 3 and D player for the Spurs a few seasons ago.

I thought he would have been a nice insurance policy for us.

For a 2-way contract I could see the Lakers giving that slot to Cacok.

From what I’ve seen Williams is better. Plus he’s got a season of actual NBA experience. Maybe Williams got a better offer elsewhere and we did him a favor. I just hate dumping guys like this, we did it with Thomas Bryant and that was a mistake.

Undersized at 6-7 but has a good overall game, high motor. Better touch...defenders can't back off him and dare him to shoot.

...with @Weezy on this, Williams outworks opponents. Not pretty but effective in his limited stints.
