Please let this be the last year of the KCP Klutch tax. We have paid enough. It is reaching extortion levels.

Raps could have traded Siakam and Lowery for Westbrook and PG, to keep Kawhi? Wow. Not sure I would have turned that town if I were them. That would have been super scary up North.

I’m still really surprised OKC caved and are going full rebuild only 1 year after re-signing Paul George.

Also surprised PG even requested a trade to begin with. This time last year, he was completely sold on OKC and playing with Westbrook that he didn’t even bother taking any free agent meetings. He committed to the Thunder at 12:01am at the start of free agency because he was down for playing with his “brother” Westbrook for the next 4 years.

Not much loyalty if you throw that away exactly a year later and demand a trade just because Kawhi asked lol.

The league is wide open this year too considering Warriors lost KD and Klay won’t be back until March. I figured OKC would do the opposite and go all in with Westbrook/PG and try to compete.

Iggy would shoot this down. He wants to be on a contender and close to his Silicon Valley interests.

I’m kind of surprised we haven’t reached an agreement with anyone else. Considering we have to have all the contracts in before the AD trade to maximize the amount, unless they let him keep his trade kicker?

You know what, I have to actually take more courage in this.....(and we al should too)..........

So, the Clippers HAD to make that trade to get Kawhi, right? Which means the Clippers HAD to do the same trade as us to get PG, which is almost the same trade they would have HAD to do to get AD but didn’t want to.

So, IF they Clippers botched that, Kawhi would have most likely come to us. So, Kawhi forced the Clippers hand, as well as PG, to give up pieces they didn’t think were worth AD, to get PG, to get Kawhi.

Yeah, they have a better roster, per se. But that means if this fails, it’s more on Kawhi than it is on anyone else. He apparently created the Clippers to be who they are today.

    So, good luck Clippers.

Oh wow that's more than I'd spend. I assume they'll want Anunoby or someone already on the team to step up to fill the Kawhi void as well as possible, so Stan is their bench guy. That's not a bad deal, but more than I'd want him for at this point so good for him.

Yeah I would imagine all the remaining guys would know their value to other teams by now. We were really the only team whose cap was affected by Kawhi’s decision. Not sure what the hold up is with Morris. He’s a Klutch guy and almost felt like he was holding out specifically for this opportunity with us, and on our end we really need someone like him to round out our depth.

We could gamble on Boogie and add one more guard, the best one available.

Looking at every pg salary, not much makes sense. DJ aug maybe for cash? If we kept DG at 13M or used bonus trick we could have taken in Teague or dragic, too late.

Can we convince Collison to unretire. Give him all we got
