I’ll always have love for Jerry West. Hell, I went to his basketball camp when I was a kid. But he did the Lakers dirty here.

I understand he had a job to do but he helped Leonard deal IN BAD FAITH with the Lakers. He either told Leonard to do it or tacitly agreed with Leonard being deceitful and deliberately hurt the Lakers.

I hope Leonard gets booed everywhere he goes in L.A. This is a Laker town, and he just pissed all over it.

    With Jerry West’s help.

Unacceptable and unforgivable. At this point I hope they change the NBA logo.

i'd love to discuss longer, but my wife has me on heavy work detail today. so quick hitters:

-totally shocked at the news. nice work by the clips. i'm sure woj will disagree, but i think we had kawhi until the george trade happened. that said, it's clear he orchestrated it, so i'm annoyed we were the backup the whole time. he'll get his. davis is better anyway, imho.
-westbrook has to be feeling weird. great haul for okc, too. when he signed there, i figured he'd be dealt for nothing within two years, but they had LAC over a barrel and nailed it. think they may have gotten as much value for him as NO did for davis.
-clips had to do this. their franchise was over if they got nobody in FA this year after all the set up. over. they pulled a rabbit out of a hat, and it could have long-term consequences for us (bad ones).
-that said, we need to be ruthless and keep their roster thin by using our cap wisely. they have injury prone guys. we can capitalize.

If we suddenly still have $18 mil in cap space, maybe it will help re-initiate buyout talks for Andre Iguodala. We could offer him $5 mil/season and he can agree to a buyout for $12 mil season (he currently makes $17 mil).

Win win win. Memphis saves money, Iguodala doesn’t lose a penny, we get a really good backup small forward and depth for our bench.

Agreed. Also prefer AD for what it’s worth.

If they're willing, sure. Korver makes a ton of sense at that cost, but Iguodala could want more.

Also (and I know you didn't ask, but just to put it out there) Avery Bradley wasn't a buyout guy so he's probably looking for more than a minimum.

Come on Bradley, Iggy (Get that buyout my man), Morris and hell throw Boogie in there so he doesn't go to the Clips.

This is a good signing. I watched a lot of GS this last season and Cook is a baller.

    Very nice.

Im pretty happy with the signings outside of KCP. Add Morris or Cousins and I think got a few good rotation players.

Does anyone else feel like the NBA landscape will be weird looking next season with all of the changes and Clippers being relevant in a big way? Seems weird to me like we are in bizarro world! LOL!

Honestly it's good for the NBA. I still want us to be a dynasty and I'd still had loved Kawhi obviously, but competition is a good thing.

Also, when we win the title next year, nobody will be able to say it was easy.
