Wow guys! All I'll say is that I was away from my phone for a bit and just came back and saw it had blown up! Nobody in the Lakers was expecting this... not even close! But hey, we have two stars and it's going to be anyone's league next year. I'm really looking forward to the upcoming season, it's going to be a great one!!

I think Kawhi’s team misunderstood all this hooplah as being about him moreso than the fact that the Lakers were involved. Internationally, he’ll fade back into obscurity.
As far endorsement money goes, he definitely cost himself. The only super marketable Clipper I can remember was Griffin, and he at least had somewhat of a personality. Nobody is buying a Kawhi Clippers jersey or Clippers NB shoes, hell no.
Learning some more info.. New Balance isn't pleased, but apparently Kawhi kept this plan close, and made the Clippers keep quiet about it as well. Ballmer had the media calm down about Clippers coverage on purpose to minimize the risk of blowing it up. Kawhi and Paul George used the silence to get this trade done. Ultimately, it's Kawhi's choice, and this gives him the ability to be the top guy and still compete for a championship. Uncle Dennis and co. see this as the best case compromise. They get a chunk of LA's marketability, the chance to live close to home, and the ability for Kawhi to still lead his team to a championship and be the "super team killer" so to speak. They initially did want Kawhi on the Lakers, but it just wasn't ultimately what he felt would be true to him and his character. I don't think the front office stuff factored in too much from what it seems like. I'm actually still wrapping up some international business... so my updates are going to be delayed. But I think the true story will come out soon enough. And free agency signings will be rapid.
The shoes I'm not so sure, but Clipper fans will buy the jersey. But... But no way will he outsell Lebron (new jersey) + AD on the Lakers. Not a chance.

NB - look for videos of Canadians burning them all day tomorrow. Toyed with a Country and the sports’ biggest fan base. Wonder how mixed the North is now? He helped them win a fluke chip - beating a team so hit by injuries that it may not even be a playoff team. Not running it back to prove it wasn’t a fluke. They are probably just happy he didn’t choose the Lakers. Haters everywhere.
