I won't further argue that post but I will say you are wrong about folks not following your lead. Just like anywhere else leadership is looked up to and if you make an example whether that be bad or good the sheep will follow. I could post examples but doesn't really matter what I think anyways because i'm in the minority, think for myself and don't follow the herd

Make you respect Marcellus????? Wow! ROTFLMAO!!!!! Boy somebody really overstating their importance in the circle of life right about now. 98% of these show are nothing more than premeditated skits.

Sorry, we are not on edge because we don't have a decision. We are on edge because of all the haters and lies they have perpetrated on our team for the last 6 years. They have kicked us in the nuts while we were down. I don't care one tiny F what any of these media clowns think. Scroo them!!

Boogie has no price tag to bring down. Why do you think he had to call around to get picked up the last time?

I have no idea what you’re talking about. Literally no clue.

And if the point of your post is to tell me that they script the arguments on ESPN, thank you super sleuth. Hopefully no one tells me about the tooth fairy. Marcellus is still trash.

And I'm right there with ya but lets be honest here and live in reality for a second. This s*** show has started from the top with bad FO management. Kobes ridiculous contract, magics abrupt and very much public exit, Jeanie fighting her family in court for sole control and a laundry list of other stuff. THe organization that we love has faltered of its own accord and because it's arguably the most polarizing well known sports franchise in the world the negative impact is always gonna outweigh the positive in down years. Hell I think the league colludes against us and we get teh short end of the stick more times than not but that comes with being the best franchise.

Also you can't say "we" because unless you've got everyone on ignore this forum has been on maximum over-rustle because kawhi is taking forever to make a decision. The emotional roller coaster is real...

More power to you, I cannot stand the guy are typically don't listen to him. It's hard for me to start listening to someone who has already earned my disdain. Sure, they all get something right once in awhile but seriously, who cares? Kobe has it right above.

Thank you, I try. But I’m not in it for the money or fame, I just really like doing what I love and to help out the common man... er, my fellow man, heh.

It's like LaVar triggering me to turn off any video interview he's in. I have fun laughing at his words in print but seeing him talk and that voice ....can't do it. No Marcellus fan with his style the few times I pick up the show in the car.

Respect for this, its a good conversation point. I agreed with Weezy, still don’t like Marcellus, but you have a great point. Thanks for making it clear, it helps conversations going forward.

I think the team was willing to roll with Kobe because the fans supported him. The team made a ton of money off of him, he was a true Laker to the core. I think it was a business decision that made sense at the time.

Magic messed up with his abrupt exit, it pains me to admit it, but I do. That being said, I still like Magic and realize that families can have bad moments, people were upset and s*** happened. I can forgive and forget, others can't.

Jeannie fighting her family in court is something that had to happen. The problem is that revisionists are now trying to blame it on Jeannie instead of sticking to the original assertion that Jim Buss was an idiot who needed to go. Mitch chose the wrong side and went with him. C'est la vie, once again s*** happens. Jeannie had majority support within her family. The way I look at it all is that after Jerry Buss died, there was a vacuum and the Buss children attempted to fill that void. Things did not go perfectly but they are working themselves out with some time. What we are left with is an ownership group that wants to win, that is willing to take risks that bring us players like Lebron, Davis and Kawhi. Seems like a very positive direction for our future.

There are people who can ONLY see the negatives in all this, most of those people are pieces of poop and I want them gone from the forums and I certainly am willing to show them a lack of respect if they are media. That being said, this has been a frustrating last couple of years, full of doubt that IMHO was mostly the media calling us out at every turn with some truths and a bunch of lies. For example the whole Ballmer paying off WOJ and whom ever else he paid to paint the Clippers soo positively while rubbing salt into everything Laker. I am tired of the media blowing everything out of proportion and now that the Lakers are getting smart and not communicating much with them, they are even saltier towards our team. Seriously, I have ZERO love for almost anyone in sports media, the industry is 97% full of thieves and whores and I have no use for them. That is why I am here. I don't want to hear a bunch of people knocking my team town. I'm a Laker fan, have been for longer than 90% of the people here have even been alive. I am tired of all the pundits with an axe to grind. The sooner the Lakers are winning rings, the happier I will be. Until then, I'm going to enjoy the ride and do my best to drown out the haters.

I won't get into the whole Kobe debacle because we won't agree but my feelings about it are because I too want the best for the franchise. Above anything else I don't specifically fawn over players with blind love and exalt them as gods. I find that s*** very amusing though lol. I love the team and want to see them win a title every single year but I live in reality and the organization we love since Dr. Buss died has been terribly run and that's a fact. In my opinion Jeanie leads with her heart and not always necessarily with business sense...

The Lakers are what everyone else wants to be. Our history drives that narrative. With that comes all this negativity period. That's all apart of it and it's not going anywhere. We are the benchmark set in the stratosphere that no one will ever be able to compare to, even the C's.

That being said this is a public forum that is supposed to drive debate and conversation. You're not going to agree with a lot of the posts made just as I don't but you shouldn't allow that to ruin your forum vibe. You've made some great posts and I've laughed at a few but I've seen you triggered as well by posts you don't agree with and that's not conducive to anything but attracting more negative attention. I'll agree with @Weezy on that point, just ignore those posts and move on. I entertain some of them to see if I can spark a decent debate because the special Olympics are amusing sometimes....

Glad to meet another passionate fan Wino, that's really what this is all about

    Take care

I don’t want him, but I didn’t know he was only 33 either, I figured he was like 40.

With the rumor that Monta Ellis and Amare Stoudamire are going to workout for 5 teams including the Lakers, i would be ok with Ellis if he plays well during the workout...because we need guards.

For Amare, it would be a hard no. I would rather the Lakers sign Joakim Noah if we need cheap help at the Center position. Check out his game log at the end of last season. He played extremely well for the Memphis Grizzlies and would be great for this team. A big who hustles, plays defense, fights for every rebound and is actually a very good passer.
