If we miss out on Kawhi, who were the reasonably priced FAs we missed out on while waiting? Just Brogdon and Beverly right? Maybe an argument for maxed Dlo?

There’s almost no one I would have wanted at the prices they got aside from some of the minimum guys. Beverly got overpaid, Seth got overpaid, Ariza got overpaid, Russ got full max, Bullock got overpaid, Ellington got overpaid, DeAndre got overpaid. Maybe Ed Davis was the right value. Even if we miss on Kawhi we can still throw money at Green, Morris, Cousins, McGee, Cook, KCP, Carter, Korver, and field a contending team, just not be the favorites.

Let’s say Kawhi resigned with raps right away.
Would we be happy with Brogdon @ $21 and Green @ $11?

Danny Green, Iggy (if Waived), Marcus Morris, McGee, Caruso, KCP..?
Still a well rounded Roster when added to LBJ, AD & Kuz

Brogdon is gone, but I’d be happy splitting a good chunk of money on Green, Morris, maybe Cousins or Iggy if he wouldn’t take the minimum, vet minimums for the rest, room probably has to go to KCP because he’s Klutch and we need guards badly.

Oh, I see. I think that’s a bit high on green, but yeah I probably do close to that on Brogdon. I think he got under $20 mil per where he signed.

If we don’t get Kawhi I’d split it on Green and try to make a trade for Dragic.

    Minimum on Korver/Caruso/Chandler/Bradley

    Room on McGee

    Dragic/Bradley/Caruso
    Green/Korver/THT
    LBJ/Kuz
    AD/Dudley
    McGee/Chandler

Not perfect as we would be short at C.

I don't like him and I thought he was terrible last year.

But for vet min...you certianly can't find much better PGs with the type of experience.

Playoff Rondo is also a real thing. Last year we didn't even make the post-season. I think that's where he is valuable. But ya, sucks on D, didn't shoot bad last year but generally doesn't shoot and has an attitude.

His salary doesn't matter imo ... Him starting/playing major minutes with the starting unit is a disaster especially if we don't get Kawhi ... whether he gets the minimum or the MLE

    He's not a NBA player anymore .

Brogdon was traded for 3 picks, too--not sure we'd have gotten him.

Would we have been able to get Brogdon @$21m though? I have a hard time believing we’d have got him for the same price. It might have cost us more since, we’re the Lakers and the rest of the league wants us paying mark up.
