Cousins rushed himself back twice and both were mistakes. Getting hurt again and that finals performance really killed his value.

I'd take Quinn Cook. At the very least he's got Championship experience and can shoot. He's also got good championship experience as well.

He was released by the Warriors, a point guard who can shoot, swoop in

Cook closed out Portland in Game 3 (?) with some clutch shooting... Treys too. Can create off the dribble as well.

nobody is suggesting giving Boogie a big multi year deal, but there’s little harm for the teams on that list to give him a 1 year $10M deal (Lakers or Clips only if they miss out on Kawhi).

There is better use's for our cap space then to give 10 million to Boogie. I dont think people understand how bad it is for the Lakers to miss out on Kawhi we need to get assets if not we are in a lot of trouble once AD is a FA and he is looking at a 34 year old Lebron taking up 35% of the Cap he himself taking up 30% No good FA's we can sign and no assets to get better with.... If we miss out on Kawhi we are better off selling our capspace for picks from teams trying to get out of Lux tax

Selling off cap space for picks and taking a flyer on someone like Boogie are not mutually exclusive. We are in a great position even if we don’t get Kawhi.

Explain how we are in great position with a declining Lebron and a Rental Davis with no lotto picks for the next 6 years... If we sign Boogie like you said for 10 million or like the other guy said for 20 millions it leaves us with less cap space to get picks. I would love out pitch to Davis hey resign with us i know we cant sign anyone else and we cant trade for anyone but hey you got to play with Boogie who is also a big man and no Wing that can get you the ball.... At least with picks we can tell him we can still get him help. Its why this FA class was huge for the Lakers after the Davis trade and if Kawhi does not sign he set us back for 10 years at least we could of gone else where.......

    I stopped reading here.

    - Lebron put up 27/9/8 last year - That’s better than prime players right NOW

    - Davis a rental - No. Explain this to me.

    - No lotto picks for the next 6 years - That means we are competitive so we would be in a great position right? That means Davis wasn’t a rental right? That means Lebron is still playing at an elite level right? Or if you meant we have no 1st round picks that’s wrong too

ALL signs point to AD re-signing. He has said how much he loves living in LA. He went out of his way to get here and stuck to his guns even though the rest of the league tried to prevent it. He is not a rental no matter how much you want to argue with everyone here. He is not going anywhere.

If we are going to absorb salaries for picks, Dragic makes the most sense. He's around $19M. Add Boogie for $10M. Use the remaining space to keep Javale. Use the Room Exception to add another guard, then we move on to minimum salaries. It's pretty simple actually.

Davis didn't come as a rental. Things have to go Howard/Nash terrible for him to walk. Can it happen? Sure, but if you live in fear of low probability events, it becomes hard to live at all.

I mean, if we're worried about lebron falling all the way down to scrub, we should also worry that kawhi can't play more than 66 games and has a serious chronic injury, right?

I think the injury concern is legitimate. James missed 27 games last year. Davis has missed at least 14 games in five of his seven seasons and at least 20 games twice. Leonard missed 73 two seasons ago. This is neither ancient history nor a one-off thing for Davis, James is aging, and Leonard's injury history is at least strange. I still don't quite understand the nature of his quad (?) injury.

    On the bright side...
Davis has played at least 56 games a season and at least 1800 minutes a season. That's enough to make a strong impact.
Leonard missed 76 games two years ago, but he has averaged about fifty games a season over the last three and almost 60 in his career.
James hadn't missed more than 13 games in a season prior to last year.

A smart coach should be able to plan to manage their minutes to keep them healthy, get them into the playoffs, and then have them go all out. A good coach will have to enforce these decisions, not cave into the stars' demands. I trust NBA FOs and coaches to make the right plans, but I don't trust them to manage stars.

All Signs pointed to PG signing with the Lakers after he got traded to the thunder how did that turn out.... Ok I keep people bringing up Dragic if you can answer what reason the Heat would trade him for you will understand why he will not work.. there are plenty of teams who need to get out of Lux tax we can work with..... Again no one has stepped up and offered boogie the MLE yet we should be jumping at offering him 10... Ok lets say he goes back to the boogie from old because we paid twice what everyone else did then what.... We cant trade him because that shows we dont want to win. We cant even resign him because well we need wings. Plus he is no longer an asset again back to hey how do you convince AD to resign...

Have you seen our roster and did you see what happened last year.......
How did it go with Lebron last year and we had a lot of players last years and we still missed the play off's....
