Seth Curry/Rondo/Caruso Jimmy/VC/KCP LeBron/Melo/Ariza Kuz/Pau/Williams AD/McGee/Chandler Maybe Derrick Favors, but if they can get Favors, then I’d doubt they’d get Seth Curry...I guess we’ll see.
I dug into Hill a bit...he is 33, career 37.8% from 3 but dropped to 31.4% last season (although he jumped to 41% in the playoffs). He averaged 7.6/2.5/2.3 P/R/A last season. With the age and drop in production maybe we could actually get him on the vet min.
Been lots of talk about Collison as a lower tier FA if no Max Guy pans out... Looks like that's no longer an option. https://theundefeated.com/features/darren-collison-i-have-decided-to-retire-from-the-nba/
The Squad Curry / Hill / Caruso Bullock / Horton-Tucker Leonard / Ariza James / Kuzma Davis / Jordan / McGee My questions on this as an option. 1. If you can get Curry and Hill, who starts? 2. For room exception, I think Seth Curry would be the one to get it. Can you get Bullock/Ariza/DeAndre for veterans minimum. I'm not convinced this is realistic to get all of them on the veterans minimum Starting Five Options The shooter lineup Curry Bulllock Leonard James AD The add a center lineup: With banger type center on the other team, slide AD/LBJ/KL up and put DeAndre at C Curry Leonard James Davis Jordan
With the room exception I would go after Seth Curry. We don't need a passing point guard, we need more of a Derek Fisher type that can hit the 3 and play solid defense. I would then go after DJ and see if living in California was sorely missed like the reports indicated and take the vet minimum. Also I would give Melo a spot as a backup and NOT starting. Also Keep Alex Caruso and Johnathan Williams. Korver, Hill, and Ariza would be icing on the dynasty cake. Of course this would be the best outcome with Kawhi coming to join the best team ever assembled. Seth/Caruso/UDFA Kawhi/Hill/THT LeBron/Ariza/Korver AD/Kuzma/Melo DJ/Williams/UDFA #LAvengers
If we want Derek Fisher, we're going to need someone tougher than Seth Curry. That kid is not a defender by any metric really.
He's got a career Drtg of 112. Last year it was 114. Defensive win shares under 1.0, defensive box +/- at -1.8. His steals and steal% aren't awful, but the guy isn't a defender. He's a shooter and that's kind of it. I'd take him as a young shooter, no doubt, but he's not a 3 and D guy.
Not our starting 5, but am I correct that our team currently consists of... Lebron, AD, Kuz, Tucker & Daniels..? Not a bad start. If we can add Kawhi, Green, Iggy, Caruso, Rondo & a backup Big (Maybe McGee?) + scrubs, I'll definitely roll with that.
Of course you will. If that happens we have 3 of the best NBA players in the whole world, two of them in their prime.
Hahaha.. Yeah.. Of course.. it's still not a very deep Team, but serviceable Vets & still some promising Youth.. We'll see.. It's all just fun speculation at this point.
