Yeah. Too bad about Seth, I really like him. It’s OK, just need to be patient now. Don’t waste $$$ on mediocre players.

8 million per isn't bad for curry, imo. he's a rotation-quality player. they don't come cheap. bogdanovic got more than twice as much, for example.

i bolded names of interest for me, mostly for the minimum. i avoided RFAs in hopes we won't be entering that market. but trey lyles is a guy who interests me if we do. he's underperformed, but there's talent there for sure.

probably a good idea, tbh. i bet his remaining suitors would have lowballed a bit, and he'd have few options. grab the cash, sort out the rest.

same on gs's side: grab value for the departing asset, sort out fit later.

Yeah I think they see him as a stopgap while Nurkic recovers and then he'll expire at the end of the season.

If he can get his head back in the game, Portland got a nice big man rotation in him, Nurkic and Collins.

I'd include Alec Burks, Rajon Rondo, David Nwaba, Luc Mbah a Moute, Stan Johnson, and Kenneth Faried too.

Basically there's a lot to choose from still.

I'd rather have Kanter then whiteside. Kanter won't sign for league minimum so we aint getting him but he's the better option for sure

i'm out on rondo, even though he's probably coming back. not a fan. he's been a net negative for years now.

    lmam still alive?

you and stan...i liked him once, too. not a bad reclamation guy, but he hasn't shown much at all.

faried's another guy that contributes to losing but somehow looks good doing it.

i'm ok with burks and nwaba, though neither can shoot it well enough for my taste.

due to his lack of defense, i view kanter as a minimum type player. but you're probably right--someone will MLE him.

Good pickup for Cuban. Shooters are getting scarce. We MUST get Kawhi to get Green to come with him. At least he's willing to wait, that's good for us.

I like the move for Portland too. Change of scenery will do Hassan well. They have a pretty good culture there and fewer distractions. Long way from their Jailblazers days. Good insurance for Nurkic and they don't have to rush him along.

I know nobody is left on the Rondo train. :D But I'll be here. For what's out there? For the prices? If we can get him at the minimum, it's a win.

Iman I've heard they're recruiting to Brooklyn. I like big, athletic guys. :D I can't help it. Stan's young enough to be worth a roster spot at least. Same with Burks and Nwaba. Burks actually is a career 35% shooter from outside, he's not terrible. Nwaba is all defense and hustle, but yeah he's not a shooter.

Faried I think of as an energy big and with a minimum offer, what can go wrong?
