    There's some internal concern building within the Lakers that if they do indeed sign Kawhi, the Clippers will significantly outbid them for all their targeted free agents with their remaining cap space.

    Not a fan of Derrick Favors on the Lakers. We got more important things to concern ourselves with then getting a forward that can't play much center, can't space the floor, and frankly is just overrated IMO.

    Price of playing this high risk high reward game. At the end of the days it's up to these role players. How much do they want to win vs. getting paid handsomely. I can live with losing players that just aren't cut from the purple & gold cloth

    Who cares. Lakers would arguably have 3 of the top 5 players in the league. 30% of the free agents are still available and there are only a handful left with any significant room on their cap.

    Well there's going to have to be guys that want to join for cheap. That's all there is to it. We've got at least one more starting spot and a whole lot of minutes to offer on a team that should dominate. Someone will have to take the discount, especially guys that we had last year (KCP, Rondo, McGee, Bullock. etc).

    If Lakers land Kawhi they don’t have any money except room and MLE I believe, so I don’t see how this is a problem.
    If Clippers end up way overpaying for guys that aren’t going to do much for them, I think it’s hilarious.
    Lakers had a few seasons of crapping out with FAs. It happens. Let it happen to the Clips.
