    I think New York would take a shot at Wiggins. They have room and no one's lining up to sign there.

    This actually worries me if kawhi doesn't join us. All our role player options are taken, retired, or returned to Europe. Kyrie, Jimmy, KD out for us, and now Russell too. Our eggs are in one basket.

    @therealdeal I think what I'm hearing is that they'll perhaps offer someone like Seth Curry (for example) more money that the Room exception or veteran's minimum if they fail to sign Kawhi. If they get Kawhi, they feel confident in their ability to sign their favorite free agents with lesser money because of the draw of playing with the new big 3.

    I’d guess with us being one of only 3 teams now (Lakers, Clippers, Mavs) with 20+ mil in cap space that we’d make decent offers to guys like Beverly, Curry, Morris, those types. They probably still think they can retain guys like Rondo, KCP, Lance and McGee cheap as well. There’s a lot of talent left out there and not a ton of money to go around, ring chasers will likely take the minimum on contenders over crap teams.

    Sure, but it sounds like what he's saying is Plan B is to offer the guys we wanted on minimum contracts greater than minimum contracts which I'm not sure makes any sense.

    Gotcha. I guess I just hate the way that sounds. That sounds like we're going to give Seth Curry some 3/30m type deal if we don't get Kawhi and I think that's a terrible plan.

    What’s the alternative though? (Genuinely asking, not saying you’re wrong) We have to go for it right now, if we don’t land Kawhi we have to try and add depth with the best players available to try and win a title while GS is out of it and Durant is healing.
