They need to move free agency before the draft. The start date is a damn hypocritical sham at the moment.

-Who's taller Kemba or the leprechaun?

-Surprised Mirotic is leaving so much money on the table.

-Why would Rose commit so early? Makes no sense to not at least listen to contenders.

    - glad we've been in contact with Seth and Beverly's people. Exactly what we need. Keep working the phones. Need to line up roster fillers asap regardless of whether we get Kawhi, Butler, or DLo.

Sunday, at 6pm EST, I suddenly start to intensely dislike Kemba.

So we've reached out to Beverley, Seth Curry, Kanter in addition to the main targets in Kawhi, DAR and Butler.

Kyrie seems to be the wild card here.

You gotta think that Dlo to LA is some type of leverage play from his camp.

I think it's Plan C for the Lakers. Just a question of if Russell would wait which I dont see why he would wait too long if there's big money somewhere else.

    More than $4.6m? Eek!

Another FA thought: how could the Hornets have undervalued Kemba so much? If he wasn't in their plans, they should have moved him at the deadline. Now they're stuck with no way to improve the roster. Why didn't you do it Mitch?

Butler to Miami makes zero sense to me unless he wants his own team. He can get the max from Sixers and be a contender again, or possibly from us, the Nets, the Clippers, maybe a couple other teams. Miami is full of young players and no other stars, and a guy they’ve seemingly been trying to dump for a while with the questionable work ethic Butler seems to dislike in Whiteside.

Butler to Miami works for me. He'd be just another player NOT going to the Clippers where everyone is supposedly headed to team with Kawhi.

Can't find the tweet now but apparently he liked the way they treated Wade. And wasn't there like a little back and forth between those two yesterday? Does Butler not realized how much Wade gave for that city? You think they'll love you like that?

Yeah, I saw that and mentioned it earlier, but still. We treated Kobe just as well, better actually because Kobe never had to leave for the Bulls because the Lakers didn’t want to pay him like Wade did and then come back later. Plenty of good teams treat players well, Miami just seems so far out of the picture to me right now, teetering more on rebuild than one star away from mattering.

I have to say, if the fallback from not getting Kawhi is D'Angelo Russell, I am still happy. D-Lo would have more open shots then he ever has had and there is a redemption thing I keep feeling from getting him back.

It is an odd fit but you never know with Riley. Though I think they have a tougher time of making room for him than Houston.
