More like you’re butchering Space Jam also.

You can’t really butcher Space Jam, it’s not a good movie IMO, it just has nostalgia. And to be fair, from what I’ve seen LeBron is at least as “good” an actor as MJ.

Lebron has acting chops, MJ not so much...see Trainwreck with Bill Hader, and also you can also see it on court:LLLLLebronsniveling:

Bron is in LA shooting Space Jam 2

Half the NBA and players are in LA for the NBA awards

Wait, is that the "Magic wink"?

AD is recruiting too... And didn't dude recruit Jules away from Bron? Why not have dude come back? I know the money won't be there, but there's gotta be another "Boogie" type signing this summer. Hopefully we can exploit that.

Seriously tho, I have a hard time believing guys could say no to AD/Bron/Lakers brand if the bag ain't really the thing.

What could they realistically sign Julius for if he was open to returning assuming the Lakers get Kawhi? The MLE?

Room exception (4.8m) and nothing more unfortunately.

Anyways, Dame sure makes it sound like Bron has told him something more than just AD happening next season. Max slot activated!

I'm almost certain our FO can't recruit anyone.

We should just feel blessed that Klutch is mighty enough to recruit the hell out of the league.

absolutely true... AD and Lebron leading the way... maybe a few dinners with Kobe... it's best if everyone else stays out of it, and will allow them to make the pitch that the incompetence of the FO will have no bearing or adverse effects on the court...

edit: is it tampering to distance yourself from your own FO? the team pretty much needs to go rogue at this point in order to obtain Kawhi

Eh. That's the way the league is now. You know what recruits? Big markets. LA, NY, and Miami. Jerry West may be the best recruiter ever, but even he couldn't get anyone to come to Memphis.

The Lakers just have to play the new game which is what they're doing. So would Rob be able to attract Giannis? No, but Riley didn't recruit LeBron to Miami, Miami and Wade recruited LeBron to Miami. Did Meyers recruit KD to GS? No, Curry, Draymond, and Klay recruited KD to Golden State. The players hold the power so if we're in line with the powerful players/agencies then we're doing the right things.

Our advantage of being the Lakers will always be our draw, but the on-the-court product needs to be driven by stars. It happens every few years and we're about to enter another period where it happened again.

I'm almost certain our FO can f*** a roster up despite having Bron and A.D though .

You have to take the great and the bad with Klutch ... It's still miles better than the FO though

And don't forget about the players buying homes in LA. That must mean they are signing with the Lakers. That was always my favorite off season news. That and "sauces say so in so wants to be a Laker ".

I hope this happens. Randle deserves some shine and N.Y. would appreciate his effort.
