See I knew it. Why you called me friend yesterday so you could go Pelinka on me today. Nice. Go pick on Wino he remembers rookie Logo. But he may not be nice like me with your on line bullying.

JR Smith in LA would get arrested every other week.

Hopefully for something that would keep him locked up for the duration of a NBA season.

Hey, Kcp and JR can bunk together in the same cell. I mean they about to get a pay cut so they should be looking for some good affordable living.

Seriously tho, if you have Bron, AD and Kawhi lead by example, who really cares how we round out the roster with vet mins and the 4.8m room exception.

As long as we keep our trio happy but getting a big to limit AD at the 5 (DJ for 4.8m) with Kuz coming off the bench for AD at 4, the Morris twins and Melo to help limit Bron's minutes and JR, Kcp, Simmons, Korver to help Kawhi load manage for the regular season...man bring on the meme team again at vet mins.

Rondo, McGee, Kcp and Lance should all be looked at as holdovers from last season for cheap. If it doesn't work out, you're waiving a vet min and finding someone else. This isn't something to really think long and hard at...get Kawhi and that's all that should matter and round out the roster for those willing to take a cut in pay for a good ol ride into June.

An interesting name to throw out there is: Enes Kanter.

Will he take a minimum contract to ring chase?

Also Noah, Noel and Jeff Green.

Y'all wanted shooting...well JR and Kcp provide that and if they're willing to take the vet min with Bron-AD-Kawhi, we shouldn't be complaining.

This will always be my question though, if KD and Kyrie team up in either New York team, and Philly gets better with Butler staying, then how much easier is the East vs the West to get to the finals.

Yeah, Kawhi beat Philly, but that’s one of the best, yet still LUCKIEST, shots ever....and Philly will be prepared and try and stop that shot from happening again, and way harder.

Now, on the flip side....yeah, the Clippers are stable, but do he get that team to the Finals. The West will still be competitive, just less so if KD leaves and if Philly keeps Butler and gets stronger.

So, I’d say it should be more of a two-team race between LA....not because Toronto isn’t good, but if LeBron was the biggest hurtle last few years, new hurtles could come this summer to the East too.

Kawhi probably shouldn’t be in a rush. Let KD and Klay and Kyrie go first and then decide based on that.

If we somehow sign a 3rd max player and only have vet min and the room exception to offer, KCP at the minimum is a great get.

At that point it would be difficult to be picky to round out the roster, and he is a capable 3pt threat that can defend

I see him returning to Portland. He seemed to like it there and they can offer him more than the minimum.

I've had my eye on Jeff Green too. There's also been rumors that Trevor Ariza could be had for the minimum if we're a legit competitor (which we are).

Other potential veteran minimums if we guarantee a large role: Wesley Matthews, Taj Gibson, Reggie Bullock, Javale McGee, Kenneth Faried, Alec Burks, DeMarre Carroll, Carmelo Anthony, JJ Barea, Lance Stephenson, Anthony Tolliver, Iman Shumpert, Joakim Noah, Amir Johnson, Gerald Green, Kyle O'Quinn, Wayne Ellington, Jerryd Bayless, Shabazz Napier, Luc Mbah a Moute, Tyson Chandler, Kosta Koufos, Tim Frazier, Alex Caruso, Alex Abrines, and Johnathan Williams.

i just find it so fascinating how the media is reshaping the narrative on a daily basis, slowly molding it and portraying our organization/FA targets in a certain way... theyre essentially removing kawhi from our equation, so to say... trying so hard to dissociate him completely from the word "Lakers".

not that the anti-Lakers agenda is anything new, but this whole thing has been orchestrated, perfectly timed as FA draws near... theyre not even trying to cover it up anymore... and, of course, the entire league (and world) knows that if Kawhi comes home to LA(kers), our dynasty will reign once again, so i get it... but as of now, they simply look like a child throwing a tantrum in a sad attempt to get their way...

I've been abhorrently against signing DLo for a while because I think he's the type that gets exposed in the playoffs every year, but the more I think about it the more I'm ok with it at ~24 mil or below. The reason why I'm kinda down is something Cranjis talks about with talent vs impact. Someone's talent level stays fixed but the amount of impact they have varies with the type of role. Some guys might be talented but can't retain all that value in a third option role a la Kevin Love, while others like Klay maximize their talent in that role.

I feel like AD needs to be a 1b to maximize his talent, as a 3rd man he won't retain all the impact his talent allows for due to his game not being like that. But DLo can play a 3rd option/secondary facilitator role who also gets a ton of open shots and pretty much completely maximize his ability in that role provided he has the right backcourt mate. His elite spot up shooting along with the ability to attack closeouts and make the next pass or float it in for at least a decent percentage shot works perfectly in that setting while not taking away from AD's primacy in the offense.

Would I still rather have Kawhi? Hell to the yes. But would I rather have Kyrie? The more I think about it, for $32 mil probably not.
