Suns do have space and they can move those small contracts
    https://www.basketball-reference.com/contracts/PHO.html
Wolves need to move some deals off though
C's will have space even without renouncing Rozier I believe. Worst case they do that. They should go for Dlo not Kemba, fits timeline better
    Pacers still have space

This would be the Knicksiest thing ever, maxing DLo after one season of all-star production.

Give me Joe Johnson over JR any day of the week.

In other news, this is a lot of cheddar

I'd take Smush... in his current condition over JR Smith.

it sounds ridiculous, but morey's basically done it before. he's the only one, but there's precedent.

    it is, and yes.

jimmy hasn't opted out yet as far as i know. cp3 II incoming. if he pulls a cp3, houston probably gets to keep gordon or capela in the process, too.

lakers need to offer the full 4-year max to muck that up. oh wait, that would be tampering if we let it be known now...

I regret my post about JR Smith. Last year, when LeBron was about to enter free agency, he mentioned that he wanted to play with guys that had high basketball IQs. At the time, I was certain he was referring to JR Smith! LOL!

Momentarily lapse... I JR'd myself there...

Yeah, read my post to @TIME

    LOL!

Now that I think about it more.... JR Smith would be like a dumber, older version of KCP *shudder*

I wanted to choke kittens watching KCPoop play last season!

Even though its not, why would that be a bad thing?

4 finals appearances in a row. Beat a 73 win GS team, lost twice to most loaded team in modern NBA history, and lost in 2015 when they were out Love, Kyrie, and Andy V (most of year)

Don’t want JR at all. Dislike him more off the court than on it and I really dislike him on the court.

Cancer and headache we don’t need.

    Jimmy intends to opt out...

Also Htown has no cap room for a Cp3 II to occur, while Cp3 I used the near 19m in cap Htown had in the summer of 2017 for Cp3 to threaten walking into if he opted out his 24m deal. So Butler threatening to walk into HTown's space is a non-starter cause of their non-capspace.

Because when their run ended, both times, they were a big smoking crater. You sign ancient, washed up players, and you are not building for sustainability. And if you sign those mediocre guys like JR and Tristan Thompson to big money deals, you’re screwed, that cannot be repeated. Sure it’s easy to say oh it’s just for the minimum, but we don’t actually need to go out and literally become Cleveland West. We can sign players that are younger and are the equivalent to the players the Cavs used to have rather than signing those actual players.

    1. We can't even sign multiple bad contracts, we don't have room lol
    2. By CLE of the West I look at ton of shooting and letting Lebron be primary ball handler. But I hope LAL can get 3 and d guys, not just 3 or d guys.
    3. Minimum guys are 1-2 years for minimum, so it doesn't matter
    4. Even if LA was to screw itself for the future, 1-2 rings and being competitive for these years is well worth it considering how inept this franchise has been for about a decade.
    5. Cle wasn't left with AD ad Kuzma after Lebron left, so this is also a different situation

I think the worst was when Woj and Zach were talking about HOU having to trade PJ Tucker, Clint, and Eric Gordon for the sign and trade of Jimmy Butler scenario and saying how amazing that would be. Talking nothing about their depth issues especially with how hurt CP3 gets. Then in the last segment when talking about the Lakers potential 3rd max slot guy Zach says I don't know if that is a good idea because then you loose your depth... What the F*** is up with these double standards.
