Since this looks like a topic people want to discuss, let's keep the discussion here. For my own involvement, if this Podcast will be an official LB podcast, I'd have a few requirements: 1. I would want to create the graphics to align it to the look of LB. 2. I am not organizing this, so my involvement would depend on what is needed. I don't necessarily need to be a big part of it. 3. I would only allow a quality podcast to be hosted and have the Lakersball name, so if yall make it, the podcast would have to be quality. that means good audio, interesting topics, etc. Feel free to discuss and organize in here
Hey like the short Asian dude that took over lead singer for Journey .... replicating none other than "The Voice" Steve Perry .... who here has the pipes to represent and be our Golden Throat? Will take these .....
Give me 20 minutes on the mic to discuss my experience as a Laker fan in New England... I'd go viral.
Honestly I think that would be a great idea. Mostly because there's already a built in audience here that would be interested in the discussion, and the way the vibe is here I can tell once people come here to check it out they'll wanna come back again. Especially because it's looking like the Lakers are gonna be back back. LeBron knows something's up, and nothing generates views like positive news. This is the ground floor of the Laker team that defines a generation. Any time to get in on it would be now. Even though I'm new to the site I feel like I'd be able to help. For someone who really got into NBA back in 2010 due to falling in love watching LeBron play (much like Kobe and Magic have done for many here), I feel like I put in a lot of work to learn a lot about the game and I low key feel like I'd be able to scout out these games and have interesting insight. I feel like I really fit the bill of one of those types who are smart in ways but don't find interest in school and work. Even though I've been able to recently complete my Masters going part time and work a pretty stable job with lots of downtime for the NYC subways, I still feel like that stuffs just not as fun or fulfilling. Also a lotta the guys in my frat, and even friends will be like "yoo you need to go on ESPN". One time I f***ed around at my boys place with this mic and speaker set up they had and I started live commentating and s*** and they were like "yo you did this before or something?". I know public speaking is one of my strongest skills, and I barely get to utilize it in my daily life beyond a Christmas Roast I do every year at my division's breakfast party. But I feel like this could be something I'm cut out for. So what I'm saying is, I may be a rook on this site but gimme some minutes coach! I wouldn't be able to know how to produce it or edit it or make photoshops or anything but I do know I will damn well catch the games and rewind s*** and take notes and have interesting observations on deck and the ability to at least be comfortable and develop chemistry with people. I was also thinking it might be funny to have a segment at the end of episodes where people send in funny posts that happen on different subforums here or even legendary ones from Clublakers. Probably would make it entertaining and possibly drive retaining membership. And have rotating spots for guests that are forum members that win a vote or something come on and have rules to how many times people come on and stuff.
I feel like we have an Ox and Heej Podcast. Catchy name too. Heck, I'd listen just to hear Ox call guest p****** if he didn't like their takes
I can host. I can get the correct equipment. If there is to be a co host, we would need even better equipment if its mobile. If both hosts are in town, then we can go to each others place. We don't go live until everything is tested and checked. This has to be produced well. Think Joe Rogan without the high profile guests......YET
We get big enough, everyone on here can benefit from the riches. If there is media credentials that come our way, we can have people on here go to games, etc.
Some interviews can be done by phone, amirite? But honest question. Of course I'd think. Rome interviews people all the time from remote locations.
Rome and most have a central location on where they produce the show. Interviewing people over the phone is fine.
How good can the audio and video be if guests appear via an average laptop webcam (assuming the host has good equipment)?
Would you entertain having LB members on your pod to test their chops? (Not soliciting for myself, mind you)
How the interaction would go could be what separates this from normal podcasts. We have the game time thread where people on LB can converse with everyone who's on the site. Topics can be critiqued. If you fee more of this or that should be discussed, input from everyone is welcomed. Lots of things we can do.
