Aaaaaaaad now the draft has officially turned into Jay Bilas telling everyone that every player from here on out is going to be a great player.
Hahahaha, the worst he ever says is “this might be a bit of a reach this high in the draft”, but he always quickly follows it up with “but, this is why they’re still great”.
Seems a lot of people think Cam Reddish is the steal of the draft, but it's hard to overlook how mediocre his shooting was. 35.6% overall, under 40% on 2 pointers. 2nd player ever to be drafted in the top 10 shooting under 40% on 2 pointers.
Meh, Cam lacked the aggression and overall drive to become a good player. He was projected even 4th but I’m sure his combine and workouts were just terrible enough for him to drop that far.
I think he translates better in the pro game, especially in ATL. I think Garland would've given them a mini Splash Brothers of the East. But I like their draft in terms of fit and meshing. But with our guys, Holiday, and Zion the last thing they needed was someone else who needed the ball. He'll get lobs from Zo and some put backs, rest is all D.
I really dig Hayes. I dont know if his ceiling is high, but he's an NBA player who is mobile and athletic. He is my favorite big in the draft.
In other news, what the f*** were the Suns thinking? Some had Johnson in the 20s with a (slim) chance of slipping to round 2. He's already 23. Not a lot of ceiling there.
Woj hadn't said anything for a minute, but when the C Bags picked Romeo Langford, he came on to explain how Romeo's game is better suited for the NBA than college. Sure thing Woj.
While we wait on the draft to mean anything for us... here's one of the greatest things to ever happen to the draft
With who's left and dropping, no excuse for not walking away with a couple solid additions in round 2
