It should be against forum rules to even mention the signing of Rondo, for fear of jinxing us. ;)

Rondo was notably declining on the C Bags and watching him embarrass himself on Dallas was just brutal. I don't think Rondo will take what he's actually worth (minimum), so logically they should pass on him. In the event Jimmy boy signs for some crazy amount of money, I got some magic beans to sell him.

The Mavs players didn't say no to voting Rondo a playoff share. He wasn't on the list presented to the players. That omittion had to come from Cuban, GM, Team President, or the coach. To be fair, no player stood up for Rondo either.

This is what I am starting to think and say is the better way to go. Get whoever you can, and then go "Oh yeah, here you go Rondo....take it or leave it with this amount that we have left and the desire we and Kobe really have for you to come here."

I think that is wise, totally worth it, and the best way to go about it in a way that doesn't piss us off as fans and still makes it so we can have a good year this year and a better future as the seasons go on.

I'll take him as a 6th man. money wise also.
a lineup of Rondo, Ellington, Young, Davis and Black is the best bench in the league.

That was my point like two weeks ago and everyone told me no.

So NO! Your idea is bad! Rondo won't do it!

Nah I'm kidding. That's quickly becoming the only way I want Rondo: as the very last piece while we try to put together a better roster.

Yeah, Rondo totally seems like the ultimate team-first, coach friendly, happy to come off the bench guy. I wish I had the CL "yeah right" emoticon right now lol.

I totally agree, but unless he wants to try to be that guy he can go jump in a lake!

We seem to be one of his last suitors. Either he'll conform to what we want/need or he can go play overseas. We might be the last team offering him a guaranteed position, minutes, and more than a pittance for a contract. If someone else wants to swoop in and spend big bucks for him to start then good for him! Peace out Rondo! We've got other things to worry about.

I think there are franchises dumber than you think out there still willing to pay big for a name guy, a former All-Star and champion PG.

The Kings come to mind as a team that may go for it. The only thing stopping them might be Karl. I think Karl is a good coach and wants to keep his locker room under control.

Again, I'm down with that. If someone is willing to offer more that's fine with me. Let's move in our own direction and away from Rondo.
