RE: Anthony Davis...just thinking: what would Jerry do if there a player in the middle of his prime, who we can argue is top 5, wants tone in Los Angeles, but the owner is unwilling to do business with us?

I think Jerry would pick up that phone and call the owner and have a 1-on-1 conversation and open a dialogue.

My question is: why doesn't Jeanie call Gayle? Talk to her. Start a dialogue. Maybe it works or it doesn't, but the decision to trade Davis has to ultimately come from Gayle, so why not pick up a phone? At least, make an attempt...

How do we know that hasn’t happened? Not everything gets reported or leaked.

Oh wait, nvm. This is Lakers 2019. Yes it does.

We HAD the best owner in all of sports bar none!

So's to be able to debate this intelligently, which "sports bar".

Jim never could have gotten Lebron here. So Jeannie did the right thing in that regard of sending him packing. What Jeannie hasn't shown yet is if she has enabled the right people to truly capitalize on such a free agent signing. Thus far, not really. I think Magic Johnson did help seal the deal on us getting Lebron. But after that he failed. Pelinka is part of that equation, too, obviously. Let's see if he manages to do better on his own. I'll judge after the machinations of the summer.

That's all we can do. But, I am on the shortest fuse I have ever been on with the Lakers. They really need to get this sh*t together. NOW!

all this media black eye to our beloved franchise should squarely be shouldered by this genetic lottery winning lame duck of an executive

I like Jeannie cause she's pretty:Rondonod:I haven't bash her because the free agency isn't over yet. We have not come up empty yet. The Lakers are still in the news every night how many non play off teams, six years in a row, can say that? Negative publicity or not, what free agent does not want to have his brand attached to such a juggler knot?:LLLLLebronlaughing:

If I wanted a chick that had a permanent smile on her face because of all the watery jelly syringed in her mug, I'd say cool, but I don't and looks have nothing to do with running this team.

When an owner blows like she does, no pun intended, the best thing to do is hire people who can run the team LIKE an owner would. Someone who is in it every hour of every minute of every second of the day. Otherwise, it's a s*** show. It's already hard when you are working hard. It's worse when you are vacationing for 5 weeks and making up b******* stories to cover your other b*******.

I really like LFR and glad to see that he seems to be on the upswing of his medical issues.

But I don’t think he’s really super popular yet. And recently he’s been very critical of the organization. So that really does come across as a classy gesture for them to send him flowers like this.

If this is true, it must have been an accident, because it’s not in her likes anymore. But man how great would it be if it weren’t an accident.

Jeanie didn't even take time to read the headline I assume, so it is probably accidental as she probably thought its a regular Lakers article...

If serious, I’m going to have to recommend that you get out of the house more and look around. Refreshen that perspective.

A competent owner/front office would have gotten ahead of the narrative awhile ago. By continuing to remain silent, they are letting the media drive the narrative in whichever way they want, off the cliff it looks like.

Instead of posting about dogs or claiming fake news, go out there and defend your brand!

For every smidge of good news we have, we get a mountain of s*** thrown on top. It might be too late now but hire a god damn competent PBO and get out of his way. Let him fix the basketball side of things and get us winning again. Winning solves all our problems or at least make them disappear.

Magic quitting was a great chance to reset the franchise. Instead Jeanie handed the keys to the franchise to Linda and Rob, people who have no business being in the position they are.

The lesson Jeannie would learn from this...She needs to pay Linda Rambis $10 million a season.
