The second it snapped, Harden found the closest hoop to him and started practicing free throws.

I agree with everything you wrote.

Regarding Kyrie, he isn’t going to stay. I heard that he doesn’t like the franchise and/or Ainge. What if he went to Brooklyn and the Nets focused on clearing a max slot the following season for KD to come? Is that possible?

I'm right there with you. I always liked KD and really hated to see that last night.

This is bad on all levels. I can't believe a medical staff would okay this. Especially with people now saying he looked bad at practice. I honestly thought he looked to be slightly limping in one of the videos of him walking into the arena.

Silver and the player's union absolutely need to address this.

Just shouldn't have happened. Even though I'm sure he wanted to play, you gotta take the decision out of his hands.

I think so, but it'd be close if they tried to hold onto Russell. Kyrie+Russell+Dinwiddie+cap holds might leave enough room. But it'd be close.

I would bet that Kobe has already reached out to him, which would be a Kobe thing to do. Since coming to the Warriors KD seems to fashion his game after Kobe, so Kobe will be a great resource for his bounce back.

there's a fine line between a strong will to win and (gross) negligence here... i was also very surprised to see the toronto fans get caught up in the moment and cheer... just a bad look for all parties involved...

Definitely think its negligence on the part of the team and medical staff.

Toronto fans showed no class. Glad the players checked them on it.

I don't think this moves Kyrie 1 way or another; I still think he is going to Brooklyn. I think he's been done with Boston for awhile and checked out mentally months ago...

There were rumors Warriors players didn't get why KD didn't play in Game 4.

    - KD still caring too much about what everything think about him may have played a role in taking that risk.

Knowing KD was willing to take this risk , did the Warriors cleared him thinking " who cares if he's getting injured again , he's not staying , unlike Klay which we forced to sit in Game 3 ?

I'll guess KD will adress it one day ...

Meyers looked like he was apologizing last night, even before we know anything. I have a feeling that there is a huge back story to all of this, but I have more respect for GSW than to think that whether he stays/ goes entered into the medical decision last night.

Kevin Durant should have never left Oklahoma City. He turned into a basket case going to GS. People, fans, for the majority are pure trash. Caring what trash thinks about you only makes you into one.

Who ever cleared Durant to play IF he had an Achilles injury should be fired. Period.

GSW will do this one of two ways- pick a scapegoat, point the finger and fire him/ her, or portray it as a group decision, letting Myers continue to be the front person "taking the blame" for the group. Most likely it will be the latter, but news always leaks out from various sources in these situations. Either way, this injury may have completely changed what happens in the offseason, huge ripple effect.

Wow, this injury has some Free Agency implications now.

I don't think Kyrie will go to New York without KD. Don't think Butler, Kemba will really move the marker for his decision. I think it'll come down to Brooklyn and LA now, imo.

If Kawhi stays in Toronto, not sure Kyrie would want to stay in the East and have to fend off them and the Bucks for the rest of his career.

Meanwhile, he could sign here long term, we trade for AD, and it could be Kyrie and AD for a long time and remain competitive in a big market.

rightly or wrongly, i don't think kyrie is scared of the bucks...or other teams in general. like the rest of these guys, he's supremely confident. also, like almost all the big FAs this year, he's already won a title, so that particular monkey is off his back.

he'll go where he thinks he'll be happiest. sure sounds like ny is that place.

Let’s hope kyrie doesn’t tell Danny to trade the farm for AD so he might as well stay in Boston.

As soon as the season concluded for Boston, where we have seen him at? NY. LOL. He's an East-Coast dude. He wants to be home, and I can't fault anybody for that...

As far as Brooklyn, I think the plan B is re-signing Russell; and giving Kyrie and Russell a chance, but I don't think it will last long-term. Russell will prove to be a very good trade chip that will be used to get pieces to build around Kyrie, IMO.

Plan A was done when KD went down with the injury last night...

First off prayers up for KD... I despised his competitive spirit (lack thereof) when he joined a 73-9 team, but you don't wish this type of injury on any body, especially when it comes to your livelihood. We're looking at 6 months for recovery alone, then it depends on him/his body to see how fast he can go through rehab.

Secondly, the dubs better take care of him. I feel malpractice could be at play here especially when strained calves are highly susceptible to Achilles strains and worse.

Last, this impacts free agency movement, but I still think Ky/Butler tandem in BK was one of the options Ky was leaning towards anyways. Another thing to consider in free agency is that alot of these 30% max guys like Kawhi/Ky/Klay could be 35% max guys next summer, so a 1+1 deal world have gotten them a larger bag. But with how the situation with IT and now KD turned out, do they commit to a long-term deal this summer instead? They sacrifice that bag, but they gain security. Also I expect load management will be a huge thing next season...so the regular season will be neutered a bit...but if the ring is the thing...you better manage that load (pause).

It's a horrible thing to see KD go down like this. Bad for the league, bad for him, bad for the fans. No way around it, it seems pretty awful. KD is one of the most gifted scorers I've ever seen. He's an all time top 10-15 type player and we are going to lose a lot if he isn't able to come back at somewhere close to where he was. It's a damned shame.

Honestly, he never should have been playing. There was too much to lose and the worst case scenario happened. Classic case of winning the battle but losing the war.

There will be ramifications no doubt for this summer and Free Agency as he was the biggest fish.

    Shorten the damn season.
If i'm a star, i'm taking a page from Kawhi's book. I'm coming back when i say i'm ready, f*** the FO, coaches and team doctors.
