    Fantastic! Thanks for the update.

Any word on if there's smoke to the Beal rumors?

Hey @Barnstable ! Thanks for reminding me, I forgot about this!

Yes there is substance there. Beal is a backup plan right now so the Lakers aren't playing their cards too eagerly. I don't know specifics since this isn't a free agency ordeal so we're not doing much "wooing" here, but I do know that in the past weeks we have spoken to Washington, and that their current ask is very high (#4 pick, multiple players in the young core, and future picks). Washington still isn't fully convinced that they should rebuild given the damage it will do to their revenues, so they want a lot in return for going that route. Unlike the Lakers, they're more content with 2nd round appearances under the Wall/Beal duo. Puts butts in seats at the very least. There have been an number of reports recently that I haven't all read but will probably have more detailed info.

Forgot to add: The reports about them loving Lonzo are true - but its for marketability more than anything.

how marketable is a guy that is constantly injured and has all that drama (whether or him or not, its drama)?

Bucher (Largest grain of salt possible) said Kyrie is down to the Nets or the Lakers with Kobe recruiting hard to the Lakers.

My guess the Anthony Davis saga could determine the outcome. Deal in place (completed in August), Kyrie signs knowing he’s playing with Lebron/AD.

With all the crap going one of Kawhi, KD, Jimmy, Kyrie is a Godsend. Instantly back in playoffs and the stories die down.

I think an AD trade could provide Kyrie all the motivation to sign w/us.

You have 2 more years of LeBron then the stage is set for Kyrie and AD post-LeBron. Not to mention, you have Kobe in Kyrie's ear from what Stephen A. Smith has reported...

Beal is like Plan D with an AD trade being Plan C. Any trade means we're losing assets in process. Plan A/B should be about signing Tier 1/2 free agents.

    I'd much rather have Lebron/Butler + Lonzo/Ingram/Kuz/Hart/#4 than Lebron/AD and nothing else.

    Hi @Khmrp !

Remember that the Wizards FO isn't really put together right now, so most of these leaks are coming from the business side. From that standpoint, Lonzo Ball is pretty well known and would sell tickets to some degree. Or at least increase the value of the Wizard's brand.

The negotiations as they stand right now are being handled by the top, though. Ownership doesn't have a point person to handle negotiations right now, so that's one reason why things haven't progressed, and also why their ask is very high.

Only way Kyrie makes sense is if it includes AD. Otherwise, Lakers are putting themselves in a bad spot.

Hopefully CP3 didn't bring this up at Bron's cigar party.

Morey may have rolled the dice too hard with that CP3 contract. That’s a nasty situation.

This actually concerns me. A lot. If we strike out in free agency, then I can easily see the panic button getting hit....

My fear now is that an FO/ ownership group desperate to make the POs and capitalize on whatever good years LBJ has left will trade young talent for past their prime and expensive vets. Nash for 4 draft picks anyone?

MWP was on The Herd and was asked where he's hearing the FAs are going:

Butler - Lakers (Colin said he's hearing the same)
    Durant - Knicks
    Irving - didn't answer

I'd be interested in a smaller move with the Rockets for a vet like PJ Tucker.

So glad not to see us in that mess... yet

I don't get it though, they're one year removed from being a CP3 injury away from the finals.

Now they're ready to blow it up, everything but Harden. I get that CP3 contract is disgusting and he's looking slower, but damn. Could be the infighting. CP3, Beard, and Runtoni haven't been getting along.

Word is that Harden thinks CP3 has lost more than a step and CP3 is tired of deferring. The problem with the HR plan all along was that if it didnt work the aftermath was going to be ugly and here we are. Alot of us wondered whne the trade was made how the 2 could work together, and it seemed to be ok for about 1 1/2 seasons, then the egos took over.
