2-Time MVP and 3 time champ Steph Curry weighs a buck 90. And Garland is more athletic than he is. Garland is what this team needs BADLY. As far as him being small and not a physical, well, the NBA is filled with pansies so he will fit in with that culture.

Garland is the pick and Lakers need to go hard at Kawhi because I would rather have our core, Garland and Kawhi than just AD and Lebron with the merry minimums.

Super like this. Honestly, if we get Kawhi, part of me almost doesn't want to trade everything for AD. Ultimately I do, but I know it could blow up in our face badly. I'd rather see if Ball, Kuzma and some future firsts could land us a tier two star to pair with Ingram, Kawhi, Lebron and Garland.

The most id do provided we land Kawhi is Ingram + Ball, I’m not offering the whole squad.

I agree 100%. If we could by some miracle land Kawhi, then EVERYTHING changes. We are instant title contenders.

If Lebron is healthy, one big FA plus our young core and garland is a contender. I think if we got butler or Kemba instead of Kawhi or kyrie we’d still be pretty close.

    Lonzo/Garland
    Butler or Kemba/Hart
    Ingram/Danny Green
    Lebron/Kuz
    McGee/Lipstick

    That’s worse case scenario IMO.
    Bring on gsw!!!

so now folks are claiming that coby white and darius garland both have promises ahead of where chicago picks. my bs meter is going off.

wonder if this is leaked by the lakers to get the suns and bulls to get on board facilitating a davis trade or something. both teams want pgs, and having the best ones all off the board before they pick would be problematic for them.

but the lakers really aren't in position to promise anyone, as they're likely to move their pick. cleveland's unlikely to take a pg. that leaves phx and chicago. there aren't enough promises to go around.

I don't care who we draft...

But if he sucks at shooting, I don't want him. Sadly, the way I know the Lakers, they will pick the worst shooter...who are worth a big pile of sh***....just ask Josh Jackson.

I share this sentiment.....I'd like to see something like Kuz/#4/future 1st for Beal (I dont think Kuz should start here but he does deserve to start) so Ball, Beal, Ingram, James, ???....thats IF we miss out on Kawahi but if we do get him, I'd like to see if we can use the rest of cap $ on Brolo (maybe 3yrs 30mill type deal if we had the room) so
    Ball
    Ingram
    Kawahi
    James
    Brolo
....but we gona need a vet. solid pg like Hill (if we can convince him to ring chase)....I dont think we can rely on Ball to stay healthy or expect the #4 pick to make an impact right away either.

Well, Garland left the combine because he supposedly had a draft promise from a team in the top 10, so I guess he felt no further need to do workouts. Whether that remains the case with team workouts like us, I don’t know, but I’d hope not because the more you can see of these prospects the better, especially one like him who had an extremely short college season due to early injury. I’d want to know how he’s looking recovering from the injury. As for the other lottery guys, I’m sure we’ll be hearing about their workouts shortly, now that we know where our draft pick is slotted, have a coach in place and it’s been established Rob won’t be replaced they can get down to the business of that.

Seeing his highlights, I dont know how you can see less athleticism than Lilliard. Garland is smaller than him and he is really quick.

I hope we don’t reach for this guy. He could end up being great, but I wouldn’t bet on it

I have seen the highlights as well. Garland's quickness and smoothness actually stand out. The problem with Garland is the lack of sample size. But if we keep the pick, I take him as I see him as the highest upside and could end up being the second (or even first) best player in this draft. I'm not sold on Zion at the next level.

garland's a gamble, but his upside is the highest aside from zion in the draft, imo. i'd bank on him getting stronger before morant becoming savvy and skilled prior to his athleticism failing.
