    Yesterday was a good day, jumping to 4 was huge for us. Watching fans of other teams and media haters freak out was great. Also, there’s this today. Finally the NBA will “allow” this, as we already know it goes on since deals are agreed to at 12:01 AM which is impossible otherwise

    Didn't know where to put this but this thread seems appropriate enough .... I saw Jaime Maggio yesterday on CBS (pretty sure them not NBC) the 6PM show sitting at a desk like it was her spot now for their sports coming up announcement. Good for her.

    I have to say my optimism is bouyed with us getting the #4 pick. We have come out winners with a great asset whereas Boston has really lost. Kyrie is most likely gone, their youngsters didn't look good in that beatdown by the Bucks (4 games to 1!), and then they got stuck with the 14th pick. Pretty glorious, really, as it all went about as badly as possible for them.

    If the AD trade talks rekindle we are sitting pretty with the best package available centered around Ingram with either Ball or Kuz and the #4 pick.

    I think we've got all the pieces there to sign a big time free agent and make a deal involving the number 4 that can really make us a contender next year.

    It means leadership of this franchise has slowly sucked the enthusiasm and life out of this fan. I’m unable to get excited about anything Lakers.

    this thread should be busier with the lotto jump, but yeah, the FO mess dampens things. you worry about what might happen with that pick more than you would have a year ago.

    still, though--very good and unexpected news. i hope we do our due diligence in both trade searching and scouting/workouts. critical to get this right and not waste the gift.

    i think everyone is just bracing for the next blunder by the FO, and it sort of sucked the air out of the room. last night was huge and keeps us in play for AD, though... just need some crumbs from mr. rambis now...

    I think the general sentiment is that we're very lucky to have jumped to 4th pick from 11th....but I have zero faith in our front office to:

    a) select the right player
    b) use this pick in the right trade
    c) develop the player that we take

    I'm ecstatic about the pick...but it's hard to get excited about it when we're literally guaranteed to trade it.

    People think because I’m a rough and tumble kid from a tough neighborhood that I don’t have feelings or use body wash.

    Well, I do.

    Also I lost my parents long ago and they weren’t pilots - which is also a really odd thing to say. But if there was a Top Gun in my family, it’s clearly my younger sister.

    She’s a basketball prodigy. You’ll hear more about her in the years to come. Her name is Gianna.
