I do doubt it. Was pointed out on multiple podcasts I listen to that this FO values keeping all their power in-house over being the best they can be and winning. If they didn’t they’d hire the best PBO available, the best GM, the best coach. Instead they hunker down and turn to Kurt and Linda Rambis, Phil Jackson, the least qualified people to run a front office I can think of. They always have to do it their way, have one of their guys on staff, whether it’s Rambis, Hamblen (who wasn’t bad, just saying), Shaw, it’s always someone, it’s a disgrace.

I really think the other exec they got these quotes from is from the cLips camp.

Meanwhile, a Laker source used Tania/Brad from the LA Times to try to refute any pre-existing Kurt narratives.

    https://www.latimes.com/sports/lakers/la-sp-lakers-hire-frank-vogel-coach-20190511-story.html

Btw, that Times piece is an interesting read.

Who to believe...who to believe? I definitely believe Magic. If he assesses there was backstabbing, well then there (Capt) obviously was backstabbing going on haha.

Me personally I'm not buying all the dramatic reports of Linda and Kurt strategically behind the scenes clawing HIS way to PBO like power. I think it's a load of crap.

Good now we can hold them directly accountable. You want to roll with that crew, ok do you, but you mess up and it’s your heads. No more hiding.

This isn’t surprising, it’s been reported for like a month now, but every time I see it it’s still disappointing. Rob has no real experience running a team except for the last 2 years. Also, Kurt and Linda have no business being reported to as if they’re qualified for anything of the sort, and Jeanie has purposely stayed away from the basketball side probably until the last couple seasons if even until Magic quit. Rob reporting to this “management” is kind of silly when broken down that way, it basically tells me he’s on his own except for draft stuff with Jesse, Joey, and Ryan West, because I’d guess Jeanie and Linda don’t know basketball better than him, and Kurt may know basketball, but he’s never been good in this role. Then continuing to hunker down, dig their heels in, say this is gonna he a mom and pop run, strictly family business and they will continue to do it their way despite their way not working for going on a decade just really sucks.

Not that it’s unexpected but I really don’t understand this move. Rob is a newbie in his position, why give him more responsibility when he hasn’t proved he can handle what’s already on his plate. As far as Rambis and Linda...god no.

    Wow

Our only hope is Lebron playing GM. I have no trust in ownership, the Rambii or Pelinka.
