Lol, what a s***show. The next 3 years are going to be a disaster if we don’t land a top free agent this offseason, and then maybe still. What a group of clowns we have assembled, Vogel looks about as qualified as me to stand up to LeBron and have him listen, and Jason Kidd is a joke, he was breaking coaching rules like the first day on the job if I remember right, some cell phone stuff. Also, how is Kidd going to matter as a Lonzo mentor when Lonzo is shipped out for AD? And if he’s not, what is Kidd going to teach Lonzo? Court vision? Already has it. Shooting? Kidd couldn’t until like his last few years. What a crock.

Can someone clue me in on the negativity between Lebron and Vogel?

Let me ask you this Weezy: How do you feel about standing up to Bron and making him listen? Confident?

I’d have preferred Kurt Rambis was fired..in a rocket into the sun. I’d have preferred we call up Lue, apologize, and offer 5 years and he hire Vogel as his defensive guy while he handled offense. If not that I’d have preferred we widen our search to guys like Messina or even college coaches like Jay Wright. There was zero need to rush for our third, fourth or fifth choices, Vogel and Kidd weren’t going anywhere. You see anyone else rushing to swoop in and hire Kidd this season? I didn’t. And if Vogel, I’d prefer he’d be able to hire his own staff, not have Kidd, and I wouldn’t be surprised if Rambis too, forced upon him.

This whole process was a total joke, we have clowns running our basketball operations now. Rather than looking HARD for a coach they felt comfortable giving 5 years to, going out and really finding THE guy, because they keep screwing up coaching hires so bad, they went out and looked for someone who would be willing to lower themselves to accepting 3 years so when they fire them they only have to pay for 1 or 2 years of unpaid work. That’s how lost this team is right now, they have no plan beyond the LeBron years, and the LeBron years might not even be 3 more years the way they’re going because he can opt out after 2 more.

I feel like LeBron would laugh at me if I tried to command respect from him, IF he even took the time to look down at me in the first place.

No chance Bob Meyers walks into a situation where he can't hire his own GM and now his own coach.

Vogel was my top option of who we were looking at. Thank God Kidd isn't the head coach... for now.

Hate the Kidd addition, but that was a lock. We might value him higher than Bron. It's insane.

Hopefully we get a couple offensive coaches to join. We have D and allegedly player development covered.

Surprised Vogel was willing to accept a 3 year deal.

Not related: read that Lue's interview went so well that he they didn't even bother with the next phase of it with him. He had a three page scouting report of every player on our roster that was ultimately a giant waste of time

This guy covers my thoughts better than I could. I’m not gonna be in a very good mood until we find out what position our draft pick is in, Rondo goes away, etc

Reeeeeally hoping LeBron works some magic and can get Kawhi here this offseason, I don’t think even he and Kyrie can get it done anymore with this leadership and this new style of NBA, too inefficient.

This guy was a bad offensive coach years ago, and now the NBA is a totally different game than just a few seasons back. I can’t even right now.

Would love a legit offensive coach, but seeing how we don't really know what we are doing we will probably just have Rambis.

I like this hire. Vogel is a fairly modern coach. A common criticism of our team is that we don't have enough analytical types in the front office and this should help. I definitely think he's better than Ty Lue and in a thin market probably one of the better coaches not already under contract. I'd bet he's agreeing to a 3 year deal as well. Only sour note is Jason Kidd being involved and presumably being a Linda mole.
