    Ouch

Lol Magic looks like a genius, got out of this mess, out there doing his speaking thing, tweeting obvious statements with unbridled enthusiasm

Lue is not a superstar elite coach. It makes sense to not cave into his demands and go crazy with an expensive 5 year offer.

Low balling him with 3 years after apparently originally offering him even less, and trying to force his hand with assistants, is ridiculous.

This is embarrassing. No way to defend it. Not gonna bother doing mental gymnastics to defend ourselves from the imminent media onslaught. Even if they blow things out of proportion, we deserve it.

I'm not an X&O's guy and was a Luke guy, but bfc, Cranjis and Pete all convinced me that Lue would be a sick hire over Luke if he added defensive assistants like Thibs or Vogel as his top aide. So I'm bummed it's not that type of combo, but maybe the Van Gundys with an offensive assistant can still come on in. Lue ain't the end all, be all.

Anyways, now back to your regularly scheduled doom...this is from Stein and we know Phil and Magic advocated Lue, so I'm surprised there are a couple that still feel like giving Bron Lue gave him too much control.

If Lue had agreed to Vogel and it was all good on that part then why the f*** would the deal collapse on Rob/Kurt liking JKidd so much?

The depressing part is Laker Nation going gloom and doom because they didn't hire Ty Lue. That is the truly depressing part at the moment. That is how low this has gotten.

Magic is the reason why the Lakers are in this position. He was never in his office and traveling half the time.

Man, f*** this pathetic organization. We're an embarrassment and it's tough to come to the defense or even root for such downright ignorance to succeed at anything. Sell the goddamn team, so we can all wake up from this hellacious nightmare.

Lue isn't a great coach, but he's the best option that we had that made the most sense for everyone. When you burn through coaches like we do, you have to overpay, give a long contract, or a little of both because no one who isn't a first time coach will dare come to this s*** show without job security. AND... and on top of that they think they can dictate staff? f*** off.

Since when did Jason Kidd become this golden goose? He was a great and wise player, but was not a good coach. He's a power hungry bum. He fought for power everywhere he's been. Tried it with us when Luke was still the coach and upstairs thinks any coach will be ok with him as the assistant?! A job no one has talked to him about... you can't make this s*** up. Good mentor to Zo? You mean the PG we nearly traded who can't stay on the court. Can't Bron and Magic handle that? Oh wait...

The latest list of options is sickening. Give me Vogel as HC and a decent staff not involving Kidd.

Honestly I didn't want Lue as our next head coach. He just had LeBron and Kyrie as players to coach which made his job easier.

If we want a mentor for Zo and since Jeanie is all about keeping it in house, why not a former Laker? Convince Nash to be an assistant or at least mentor. I'll take that over Kidd the snake.

At least that would've helped give us another in with Kyrie. We will be picking from bench warming talent come free agency at this rate.
