This is what I’ve been saying...shooting matters and we put together a team that isn’t good at it.

Not only has the analytics era of the NBA dramatically reshaped shot selection across the league, but shooting is by far the most important component of winning games. Teams with a higher effective field goal percentage (eFG%) than their opponents won 81 percent of their games during the regular season, and they're winning 90 percent of them in the playoffs.

been waiting for that article. i've been suggesting these things for a couple years now. time to fix the three-point issue. the fact that houston wins 60 games a year by literally just chucking off-the-dribble threes is disgusting. pull that line out to where the efg starts looking like everywhere else and we might see basketball again.

I really like some of the ideas in the article. Not crazy about the 3 point line being different in each arena but some of the others are definitely interesting and worth considering.

yeah, it's a fun thought, but too difficult to implement. same with the goaltending. but moving the line out is long overdue. the main issue is that if you cut off the corner three completely, you'll see some serious paint-packing on d, which nobody wants. widening the court is the answer, but $$$$$ rules everything around us.

Staples Center is across from ESPN so if it gets enough traction, they gotta notice.

I live in South Orange County, otherwise I'd be there......it'd be my first ever protest.......other than my online protest regarding Planters refusal to bring back Cheese Balls full-time.

I once protested Taco Bell by not buying their product because I got tired of diarrhea.

But I didn't think that worked well on a protest sign, so I left it at that.

But if it was diarrhea, it would have dripped on his own head.

these are practical concerns. plus, what are the chants? "no more runs" can mean so many things. "we want burritos not diarrhitos"?
