    I agree that Lue's health is troubling. This is just a sport...take care of your health first and the LA/national media is no joke (see Magic & Bron) and won't give you a pass.

    Monty however has been on USA basketball (can handle and manage star ego), has the ability to develop youth (brought in and developed AD as a rookie), has front office experience and will respect his higher ups (won't let his assistants trash the FO with busch league leaks) and has been part of a respected coaching tree (came up under Pop).

    Monty is the guy and unlike Luke's downfall in keeping trash assistants around with leaky a** tendencies, he seems like a guy with a good moral compass and doesn't have the type of ego to seem inflexible in having the right people around him as his assistants.

    Anxiety is very treatable and plenty of people suffer from it whether they realize it or not. I think Lue being open about his health issues is a good thing. Too many negative stigmas out there about mental health issues.

    That said, I still lean toward Monty and am disappointed Messina isn’t being mentioned.

    I’m also still SMH at Rob running this whole thing.

    I want Monty because I believe he can be our coach for the foreseeable future, post Lebron as well. With Lue, you’ll have him for the title push with Lebron and probably move on from him. That’ll be such a high turnover of coaches the past near decade, we need some stability somewhere.

    I would love to see something go wrong on the court and see Metta in a suit staring off into nothing with his crazy eyes. What would happen next? WHO KNOWS? Will he charge the ref? Will he throw his clipboard at Denzel Washington yelling, "King Kong ain't got s*** on me!"? Will he simply slowly remove ALL his clothes and dump the Gatorade cooler on himself? The television crew would almost certainly have a Metta Cam that never leaves him.

    Woj just reported The Lakers will be interviewing Juwan Howard next week too.

    Even though he would be another 1st time head coach, I don’t think he would be a terrible hire. I would have him over Lue.
