Griffin was the one who came out to vigorously deny the whole LeGM thing and the two have had a good relationship for a long time.

Was listening to WOJ this morning and he said he believes that more than one of the elite options (top part of my list) will be interested in the gig. Certainly hope he's right. We just lost our outside fall back option

I vote for Kobe. At least we know he'll put in the work at the office......

They could be interested all they want, doesn’t mean we’ll hire them. Looks like its the Jeanie and Rob show with Rob handling the coaching search.

I’d like to remember Kobe fondly. No need to mess it up by making him an executive. He’s got his plate full with stuff he’s passionate about.

Didn’t Kobe say he hasn’t even been paying attention this past season....

But yes consult him for major decisions. It falls in line with the other d****** decisions Jeanie and co. Has made. Magic Johnson 2.0.

Get someone that wants to put in the time in regards to the primary objective....

That the rest of the the league doesn’t hate.

I don't believe 88% of what came out of Broussard's mouth, but today he said there's an option out there for West and Lue to come on board and it's in Bron's hands.

LBJ has to go to both and ask them. Lue is essentially drooling at the gates, won't take much. West will return if Bron comes to him and asks. But then Bron also has to go to Jeanie and get her to go make things right with West after that.

I don't think West can handle the day to day and it seems like Lue is all but a guarantee (checks Bron's boy and former Laker boxes). So I'm in favor of this, but we still need someone else in to handle the day to day who's is not Big Leak Bob.

Ideally we can nab West AND one of the elite presidential options. That's our quickest path to return to the promise land.

You gotta be s****ing me, there’s no way, this can’t be real life. He has to be just assuming we aren’t going to search because that’s how it appears, he has no Laker sources. No, can’t be, someone wake me up.

Kobe, please guide your incompetent bff. Help get him KL or push him out the door for Jeanie. I'm sure he didn't mind getting agent commission for all the things you're currently knocking out of the park.

Hear him out. I don’t think he’ll do it, but I think Kobe would dominate in that role if he wanted to.

There has been a lot of talk/ wishful speculation with some of the national media heads of Kobe taking over. Not happening. I can see him doing this on 15-20 years, but not now.

He's loving his Midas touch and creating content. He wants to be involved in his girls lives and coach them. When they're all grown or close to leaving the nest, I could see him taking a crack at it.

Currently it would tarnish his name. Why do that when you can currently throw Jeanie or Rob ideas with zero repercussions or backlash?

He's an all in, obsessive killer. He doesn't have time for that role and he's not going to juggle like Magic did.

The fix is so simple, it boggles my mind that we're still here, talking. Myers and Monty should be hired by now (Jerry too), Pelinka locked in some basement or fished out wearing cement shoes and Suns training staff, should be unpacking their gear in El Segundo.
What's the delay FFS?!? If we roll with Pelinka, im honestly done (even if we get Kawhi, AD and God himself).
