Yeah I hope we find out as well. Here on LB with credit to who found and posted the incredible Shawn F Matian, Esq. tweets ..... is the only place we seem to be getting hints about the dark side of Pelinka and how upset Jeanie too is with him. I mean he just says that she wants him to leave and some of that contract given back and she's also prepared with lawyers to take him to court for the "damage" he has done to the Lakers organization. With the outcome being (he never works again in the league).

That's some pretty powerful information this guy is putting out there.

If it is indeed information and not fabrication. I don't know who to believe at this point. All I know is Magic pulled a chicken s*** move by quitting the way he did without telling anyone beforehand. I think it will eventually end up a good thing for the Lakers, but if we were going to grab Kawhi out from under everyone's nose like that one dude was saying, that's probably dead now. And which free agents are going to come here with this circus?

Hmmm .... if Griffin becomes president he could pull Tristan Thompson and JR Smith?

No, but he has a very good relationship with Kyrie...FWIW, my guy.

According to SAS on First Take,

*Magic wanted Rob Pelinka and Luke Walton gone. Jeanie was okay with Luke going, but not Pelinka.

*As Shawn F Matian has tweeted before, Jeanie has people she trusts (Linda Rambis) who like Rob, but who aren't qualified to understand basketball. She's listening to them instead of listening to people who understand the business.

*SAS also intimated that Magic and his inner circle believe that Rob has been saying crap behind Magic's back. Was Rob responsible for telling Luke about phone calls made to Jason Kidd?

*SAS also intimated that it was Rob Pelinka who was responsible for tampering in the summer of 2017 and that Magic took the hit for Rob.

*SAS also inferred that he's receiving this information from Magic's friends. James Worthy, Byron Scott, AC Green, etc.

*SAS says Magic's huge rift with Pelinka occured just a few weeks ago. Relatively recently.

*SAS was on vacation in SoCAl when the news hit. He was not happy to have to spend his vacation working. It seems that he was doing this for his friends in the industry. Namely Magic.

Ultimately, it will be hard to bring in a new president of B-Ball operations and keep Pelinka in at GM. Many people around the league don't respect him, and if he's responsible for a bunch of backstabbing and "malicious acts" as Shawn F Matian tweeted about, the David Griffins won't work with him.

Bring Griffin in and promote Ryan to GM. Griffin handles final mentoring of West with GM duties as well as Pops is always there if Ryan has real dilemma about something. BOOM two well respected and honorable people running the FO. Keep Luke. There is NO one in the Lakers organization that does not like Luke, except Magic, per Ireland on radio this morning. Great culture guy. Jeanie needs to convince him on upgrading his staff and I'm sure he continues to learn on the job. Griffin smooths things with Bron's feelers about having to play for Luke at least 1 more year.

I was frustrated with Magic but at the end of the day it's impossible to dislike the guy. He means too much to this franchise.

Pelinka on the other hand? He could rot in hell for all l care.

I can dislike and not respect Magic with ease, this guy talked a big game as an armchair gm, talked big as the actual Pres., made this org. look like its being ran by a bunch of clowns with all the leaks, and now quit publicly w/o any remorse and his excuse is cause its not "FUN" for him.....GTFHO and dont come back in any capacity.

I’m seriously worried this dude sticks around right now, wow what a mess. Rumor I’ve heard said multiple times is Jeanie wanted to hire Kobe, he said no, so she hired who he recommended. All of that sentence points to incompetence, really hope it isn’t true.

As with his coaching tenure, what you describe isn't enough to warrant hate towards a Laker legend that brought us 5 NBA titles. Most fans will still love Magic.

I will seriously drop kick Jeanie if she empowers Rob Pelinka even more.

Can Jim Buss come back and fire Jeanie? Can the other Buss siblings step up and oust her?

So... yall would like Mitch back now?

Also, apparently Jim wasn't the only moron Buss sibling. Perhaps there is still hope with Joey.

Could Rob be promoted to take Magics job?

If that happens, I'm done with the Lakers.

I'm guess the Rambis What-her-face is the main source of influence.

Same. Fire his a**, stop asking Kobe and other former Lakers for advice, hire a proven GM, let's move the f*** on.
