To me, it sounds like he was going to fire Walton (obviously) and didn't want that to spoil his relationship with Jeannie. But instead of making a tough business decision, he decides to RESIGN?? That's cowardly to me. This is supposed to be a successful businessman and he can't even fire a coach who hasn't made a strong case to stay after this next game. If that's really how Magic felt, maybe this job really wasn't for him.
I seriously look for Lebron to request a trade, and we need to oblige. Just start over from scratch at this point.
maybe one last tampering fine, for old times' sake... magic really chickened out big time... clearly couldnt handle the heat -- he can go back to "having fun" now... but one could argue he is the smart one for getting the hell out of here before the denizens march on staples with pitchforks and torches when we strike out AGAIN this summer... the only thing that could make this better is if we could somehow leverage the current state of affairs to relocate lebron...
Holy s*** are we a s*** show. Maybe signs point to no one wanting to come here this summer? Man out of all the things, I was expecting a Caruso triple double before this would happen. Way to much to unpack at this point.
Good riddance you coward. Clean Jeanie out as well with Rob. Let West/Buss youngin’s take over with David Griffin running GM and let’s clean this got damn mess up. It’s embarrassing being a Lakers fan these days because of s*** like this. STOP f***ING UP OUR FRANCHISE.
