First of all, hell ya to the defensive angle! And secondly hell ya to that broken Bron narrative. Like you said, It's all about them clicks imo.

Getting Kawhi and keeping all the kids or at least a couple after an AD trade should be the endgame. But let's say Kawhi really doesn't want to be Bron's sidekick and we need to fall back on a contingency.

My tinfoil #playerrelations trope has been viewed with scrutiny and I get it. But here's what I'm tinking (get it? #TinKing), Bogut was hurt that LA didn't fully guarantee his contract the first year Magic/Rob took over. Fast forward to now and we trade for Bullock. Both Bogut & Bullock are repped by agent Andrew Bauman. It's almost like Rob wanted to re-establish that relationship cause of how Bogut was handled before. Now consider that Bauman works for ISE agency, who also happens to rep Boogie.

We know Boogie and Rondo are tight with AD. Our connect the dots contingency folks:

Half the league will have about 20m+ in cap space this summer, so it's definitely a buyer's market. But if any of them are expecting their true max (27.3m), then I doubt it's a possibility.

Jules has a player option and could opt out and be a UFA. BLo is also an UFA.

DLo could be renounced if the Nets believe Ky and KD/Butler are coming to them instead of the Knicks.

Likewise Zu can also be renounced in addition to stretching Gallo if the cLips need to create 2max slots.

TB is also a RFA that can be renounced.

Alot of things can happen this summer. I like having youth to make us deep...but this is a star team-up league. Im only looking at the kids as a contingency. And here's the wild thing: AD and Kawhi are still young!

You have to be crazy to want to join this Lakers mess if you are a superstar right now .

The organization mess + the Lebron/ Klutch constant drama is a big no no ... then add the fact the team isn't winning

Any rational person wouldn't want to have anything to do with it .

AD signs with Klutch so he's down for it but I highly doubt others are

I personally don't think it's a mess...but it's a learning experience for sure. In comparison, the last bball ops were an absolute s*** show.

I don't think you can be on this job and get every personnel decision right. As long as you don't sabotage the organization, I personally will have patience and try to see your vision through.

My biggest issue with the previous FO is they hand countless turnover in the coaching ranks...they undermined their scouting dept...they ostracized key Laker title winners...they left others completely in the dark and had next to no transparency.

If you think about the new regime, Jeanie has been there but she really hasn't had any real voice in basketball ops when Jimmy/Mitch were here. The only thing she pushed for was Phil back as coach (didn't happen) and Kob's legacy deal for marketing reasons (did happen). You can agree or disagree with those moves, but it's really been with the Jimmy exodus that Jeanie has stepped in as the true voice in all Laker related matters.

So considering that, just like Magic/Rob, she's only taken the throne for only 2 years and her dragons aren't even fully grown yet, so we can't really pass judgement on it till we really go to war.

Look at her most recent comments:

The one thing that needs to be corrected asap within the FO is the fact that someone is being leaky AF. Whether that's the coaching staff or mafioso Klutch or Magic/Rob's people...someone needs to figure out where the leak is coming in from and put an end to it.

And here's some context as to why Jeanie made those comments. For the record, I think Screamin A has sources but isn't necessarily plugged all the way in. I always eat up his sauces with a grain of salt.

Try to give special attention to the 1:15 mark...

Quotes below are from Feb. 9th 2019
I personally think there's alot of clickbait, but from the Magic admonishing of Luke story to the coaches pleading with the FO to keep Jules & BLo to West and cLip associates laughing at our FO because of the Zu trade to Bucher suggesting Jeanie and Rich Paul had beef...I have a pretty good guess where the leaks could be coming from. All that matters tho is putting an end to them and if leaks are a must in today's game, then have them use it to our advantage and not the other way around. Most of the leaks this year were meant to hurt us, not help us.

Saw a yahoo article 2 days ago that LeBron's also, or likely even harder (per me), recruiting other stars to join him in Space Jam 2 which starts filming fairly soon. And not having much luck. Why they want to be in a movie with him dunking on them seems to be the mood.

I'd be terrified about now if I were the studios putting up the big bucks they have committed to this (I guarantee) box office Dud. Worst idea for a remake ever. They don't love you like that (Mike) ..... any more and now that you're a Laker.

The first one sucked and he can't be a worse actor than Mike was. Plus, who the hell cares about Looney Tunes in 2019?
Scrap the idea and move on, for all the parties sake.

It will be fun though to see how his ego handles a gigantic dud at the BO.

I think it’s pretty common knowledge that Bosh, Love, and Kyrie weren’t really happy playing with Lebron. I think Durant has assessed the situation rather accurately. To be fair, he didn’t mean it in a harsh way, more competitive but he did say it. While the media does over exaggerate, I still think there is some truth to what the players have said.

There’s no pressure in the Olympics, All-Star Break, and the offseason, of course they don’t mind playing with him then.

Can’t find guys who want to be in a movie with him? Ouch.

Also, eyes opening, Lebron weaknesses exposed as a player, and mad respect for Bean.

In my eyes this GOAT thing is overrated, but I would Kobe over Lebron in a 7 game series.

Had Kobe won in 2004 and 2008, there would have been a legit MJ vs Kobe at the 1 spot that no one could call either way. Kobe is number 2, MJ at 1. Kareem and Wilt and the bigs are bigs. It's like comparing Heavyweights to Mayweather. MJ had the skills and the accomplishments. Kobe had two blemishes that took him out of the top spot. Lebron is a selfish jerk who had way too many mental breakdowns to compare him to anyone in the top 3 or 5. Sorry. Had he played in the west, he would have likely won 1 title right now.

If not for Draymond kicking people in the nuts and Ray Allen hitting a clutch 3 pointer, he'd only have one playing in the East.

It was pretty obvious LeBron tried to return to early, especially watching him play and the fact that he had to sit out the very next game he played after he came back (against Golden State) because he was too sore. If he comes back and carries this dumpster fire of a team to the playoffs post all star break, he continues to keep his reputation as the guy who has always dragged *bad* teams to the playoffs. On top of that, him being as competitive as he is I doubt he wanted to his season to end this way, anyways.

I don't think it's right to bash LeBron. He's probably the only one I wouldn't blame here. Honestly, it reminds me more of the Lakers post back to back with Kobe. Poor spacing, no defense, and and aging Kobe just couldn't get it done the same way he did 10 years ago. Add that to the fact that LeBron missed nearly 20 games, and it's not surprising we are out of the playoffs.

If anything, getting a 10th pick might help us for next season. Perhaps if we trade Ingram/Kuzma for the 6th pick, and combine those 2 picks with Ball, Hart, a future first, and some 2nd rounders, maybe NOLA at least starts listening about AD.
