Don't get me wrong. I want him over the other guys we would get at 7. I just don't know if he drops to us. Although, if that happens and he ends up being a stud, and then we sign AD....Klutch will OWN us.

At that point, it would have beaten being owned by the buss children, though, right?

We need Byron Scott to lead the charge. He is the ultimate tank commander.

Zion's gonna bust. IMO, his ceiling is Randle. And that IF he is in the right situation.

I have this feeling too, and I don’t really know why. Maybe it’s because he relies mostly on freak athleticism and isn’t a great shooter? The things he does well are more easily stopped in the NBA it seems, you can get shut down in the playoffs like Ben Simmons, or you have to truly be a freak with length like Giannis to not have a reliable shot. I think what concerns me the most is how big he is though, like I would fear his knee busting as much as or more than his game, I don’t know how that body can take the pounding of the NBA for years.

On another note, maybe we’ll land the 7th pick this year, play him for a couple seasons, then bench him in year 3 and 4, then renounce his rights and let him walk for nothing. Seems like a smart path for a 7th overall pick. They come along so often anyway.

    Me too.

Zion is a absolute beast in college because he is just overwhelming smaller weaker less talented players with physical attributes.

Of course he is a handful even for NBA players physically but he is a guy that still needs a lot of refinement and his game doesn't look finesse friendly. I have doubts he will be a superstar without significantly expanding his game. You ain't gonna get 5 soaring dunks in every NBA game. They'll rotate big bruising guys that will close those lanes.

Also his weight is an issue imo. He has a tendency to get fat I think if he isn't disciplined. Considering his game is injury prone he could struggle to stay in shape longterm.

I could be totally wrong on this but we will see if he is Shawn Kemp 2.0.

I hope he has a great career. The NBA can really benefit from him if he is to become a superstar. He is very marketable with his style. He also seems to be a kind and likable guy.

I think he'll have a dynamic 10 yr career and be done soon after from injuries related to pounding and weight.

In high school, he couldn't shoot the 3, so he worked on it. I think he'll find a way to be successful. If Randle can be successful, so he can. Randle used to rush in the post, but has improved dramatically with repetition. Zion already seems at home in the post, and knows how to use his girth and strength to create space.

oh he'll get blocked by length for sure, but he'll get his. I think Barkley light (From highlights I watched. Seems more similar body type)

While their games are almost identical, body type too, Zion is 10 levels higher in athleticism. With that, Zion is likley the next round mound of rebound and that is an unbelievable player.

i'm not completely sold on zion either but its hard to ignore so many former players and college coaches saying they've never seen anyone play like he has

words like that don't just get thrown around for every great college player

To add to this, Zion can use his right hand better and is a better jump shooter vs. Randle at this point in his career.

Lebron and Zo feeding him the alley oops would be amazing to watch.

Zion will be a real BEAST. Dude is 18, crazy athletic, hustles, plays D, makes great passes. I would trade anyone for him except maybe 5-6 players in the whole NBA.
People say McDyess, Larry, Kemp, Barkley on a good day. I think he'll be better than Chuck, watch out.
