What I witnessed LIVE at the game last night was absolutely pathetic.

LeBron doesn't give a s*** about this team and as far as this year goes...it's a crapshoot.

I can't believe Sirron ended up being right...

If we could trade Lebron for one middle tier star, I totally would. It's not that I'm dumb enough to think Lebron isn't better than whoever we would trade him for, but the chemistry issues we are having right now would likely disappear and the difference between Lebron and (for example) Kemba Walker would probably be almost non-existent due to the other players on the team playing with joy again.

I don't normally like First Take, but Skip and Shannon sum it up well here:

Man, wish we had retained Randle and signed PG. We would have a fun team leading to the playoffs. Instead we get the shortest end of the stick in Father Time, attention-seeking, self-aborded, declining Lebron. What a f***ing nightmare.

Tada: Shoulda woulda coulda...what can we do about it now? I regret that Jules couldn't find a way to stay with us too (maybe this summer still?), But we have to figure out how we can right all this now. Bron still connects us to AD, so there's that.

Also since Bron failed so miserably here, you could look at other stars not wanting to join the circus....OR they could look at it as this isn't really Bron's team and I'm not going to be in his shadow if I come there...rather I'm Bron's equal and I can help fix this mess. Kawhi, please see it that way!

I said it in October, and I'll say it now. reluctantly rooting for lebron, one of the players I hate most in NBA history, as long as he helps my beloved lakers; "I sold my soul for this?!?!?"

Kawhi is one of the most mercurial superstar athletes I can remember. Who know what that guy is thinking at any given second. I'll be honest, I bet we dont even get an interview with him.

Yeah, there's just nothing he ever gives us. So your guess is as good as mine.

The Jenkins hire is interesting by Ballmer, cause obviously they're going to do some storytelling of some kind during their pitch and is Kawhi even the type to appreciate it?

The only angle I can see is that he tells them a "story" or gives them examples on how to make Kawhi more marketable.

Kawhi is an enigma for sure, which is why the cLip route has legs but can still be disproven. It's a coin flip till we get a better picture in June.

I’ve been thinking of the last part too. That angle is an interesting one. These guys are all alphas at heart and seemed to be wavering at the thought of being James’ sidekick.

But coming to be the guy to right the ship may be a lot more appealing. That’s something Magic may be able to sell.

Getting a chance to save LeBron might actually appeal to a Kawhi, Durant, etc.

    We will see soon enough.

    Two things:

    1. Lebron requested play making over shooting
    2. Lebron has never been a good evaluator of talent

I look at James as a lakers as of now the way I look at Kent as a Dodger or Bonds as a Giant....they were great but just so so unlikable.

i'll be surprised if the clips get two. i think leonard is close to in the bag, there, though. west will make shrewd (non-1-year) signings with the remainder and build a contender around leonard like SA did before all the weirdness happened.

kyrie's our best hope, and it's a pretty dim one, imo.

I mean, he’s not. Kobe wasn’t really either, like wanting Bynum shipped out for Kidd, superstar players rarely are, they seem to mostly only know the obvious as in who are the best of the other stars in the league. Listening to LeBron gets you stuck with players like JR Smith and Tristan Thompson on long, overpaid deals.

That's often true. Also, about Bron being a Laker legend... he's not going to be that even if he wins a championship here. He has one bad year and might have, what... 2 good ones? That's not legend-worthy, he's barely a Laker even. He's an NBA legend, not a Laker legend.
