There’s problems out in Boston right now.

This is either good news or bad news for Laker fans.

It could be viewed as good news if this evolves into the summer when Kyrie becomes a free agent and he decides Boston isn’t the place for him and he signs elsewhere.

It could be bad news that maybe the threat of that happening incentives Boston to trade the farm for AD to convince Kyrie to stay.

^ or they can do a Kyrie - AD swap (if that is possible?) and secure the next 5 trips to the Finals.

Boston can't rush to trade for AD right now because of the Rose Rule...so they're actually effed because Kyrie could leave in the summer for us and then we can trade for AD with our young core....

Kyrie-LeBron-AD in LA? Was this the plan all along?

    No, but that's a pretty good plan B. I wouldn't complain.

I would never complain about having Kyrie on this team. He can ball.

There's a big gap between calling to apologize for not appreciating LeBron's leadership, and wanting to go back to being led by LeBron. I didn't take Kyrie's phone call as a sign he wants to get the band back together.

we really need to make some inquiries on expiring shooters like Ellington, Ross, etc. type's. He'll I'd still look to see to find a way to get Vucevic/KCP type deal. we can get away with playing Vuc at PF with Mcgee/Chandler in the paint to help alleviate him defensively.

It’s not even worth the read. Same ole story. Says Lakers would be concerned about Melo’s conditioning and deteriorating abilities. Also mentions that while Zubac would have been the obvious cut earlier this year, that would be unlikely now.

Long story short, nothing new and it still looks unlikely they add Melo.

All due respect to Kyrie, Lakers need Kawhi or AD with the current construction of the team.

So with Kenneth Faried going to the Rockets soon, does that mean they probably get rid of Melo as a corresponding move?

Honestly, Kyrie would fit right in.

While Kuz is still developing into that second option, we still need a consistent SG. Currently it’s Hart, KCP, and Lance, and sometimes Ingram.

    Ball
    Kyrie
    Kuz
    Lebron
    Zu/McGee

That’s a deviating offensive starting lineup.

God damn it...I hope to GOD we do NOT sign Melo...

Only way we do is if we send out a bunch of players in a deal for an expiring like Vuc or Kemba (long shot) or Beal (also a long shot) or AD (longest shot)

still don't think it's a good idea. if we make a trade that improves talent and depletes some depth at the pf/sf spot, then i'd consider it.
