Savs, Hate to be a punk a** snitch about it, but....

So there is at least one of y'all wanting to center our team around Mintz's peeps and that ain't Klutch bro!

Btw, I'm the first one to trade our youth for the right mix of talent.

But for Beal, when he hasn't really done anything of note next to a high usage guy in Wall. Plus you nix any legit shot at Kawhi or any 2019 free agent (including Kemba) with that type of move. If we traded for Paula you nix a Kawhi signing as well and I'd ride with Kawhi over Paula all day!

Remember, Paula to LA was such a sure thing and looked what happened...so Kawhi as a lock to the cLips is something I want to see before we prematurely take a shovel to it.

We might be overvaluing BI, but there are legit NBA heads that think the same way...

BI's stats actually look good with Bron off the floor, so there is value in him, but most of y'all can continue to bealieve his value is shot according to what fans say on ridic..uh Reddit. Y'all stay wild tho...

Fab4, you need to stop adding rain to the southland bro haha.

Seriously tho, I'm okay with moving the kiddies, but in the right deal.

As for regret over moving from DLo and Jules, y'all need to quit milking those tears. There's so many angles to how that s*** went down that most of you gloomers are choosing to ignore. Those dudes weren't guilt-free, so y'all need to stop acting like they were.

Some of y'all also think that #2 and BI would have had Paula in the bag...what gives you the idea that Pritchard consents to that trade package? Recall Bird stepped down and him and Magic are boys...things probably got so contentious that Bird wanted no part of it.

When Paula gets to the Finals...that's when we were wrong. Till then, she's wrong for dodging us last summer.

I got your back Vas. I'll confirm you were ready and willing to trade the entire young core plus virtually everyone else for Kawhi.

Bird in hand vs two in the bush. At this point we've been rummaging through bushes for how many years and found only one bird...a 34 year old bird at that. Sorry. None of these guys are transcendent talents (Ingram, Ball, Kuzma). At best they end up being on the same level as a dude like Beal.

I'm tired of punting every single year on free agents. The chatter has all of them favoring other places at this point. And the longer we wait, the less our assets could be worth.

these stats mean nothing, I see with my own 2 eyes, BI doesn't have alot of impact on the court to me. His D isn't shut down lvl, he's still to reliant on his length then actually bodying up folks and locking them down. Look at the utah gm, he was the main reason why that no name SF (Oneal) got hot from 3's, hes wide open on 3-4 possesion and got him going. That same utah player who scored 20+ hitting 6 3's on us went scoreless against Det.

There's something really unnerving about Father TIME having your back...

    It's gotta be the sickle...

Btw, @Savory Griddles I understand it's been yearS trying to grab a free agent, but it's only been A year with Magic & Rob on board...and in that one year they moved off a good portion of MozDeng and grabbed "the" free agent of last summer. You gotta give this FO one more shot at it next summer with the 38.2m they blatantly cleared.

Your guy's patience with this FO is alarming.

@Khmrp at this point I'm going to put more stock in stats that I can see over your own eyetest...hope you don't mind haha.

like I said Oneal went scoreless against Det, against us with what I assume was Ingram assignment hit 5 3's and scored 17pts....scored 14 or so against Clev 1st half ended the game with 22 and majority of those pts came late when game was pretty much over

We can post stats all day on BI: the good and the bad; but he's been mostly bad except when he's used off-ball as a slasher or going downhill...

So you're going to choose to look at one game instead of his comprehensive work over the season...yet in the Pelinka thread, the cLips are dope this year even tho as of late they lost 3 in row and have been 3-5 since they beat us.

Your eyes are being deceptive to you bro.

So BI's improved stats come from higher usage.

Now we gotta figure out how Luka does it, cause everybody's in love with his play/stats.

Magic better have his hands on a bird or two already, only to be revealed this summer. He seems to be hinting at that. Other than that, I'm with savory... and I really really like our kids. I think if we didn't have lebron and we're patient with our current kiddos, we'd reap the rewards like NJ and NO are with our cap space discards.

Luka wins games at 19...goodness. Why do we overrate our youth?

Either way, I'd trade BI in a minute for another All-Star.

no, those are just recent examples, BI stats to me are EMPTY, when you lose to teams like Clev and NYk. Last I checked Clipps dont have Lebron and when we had Lebron they still had a better record than we did and LAC lost were to at least "respectable" teams minus Det of course but like I said in the game time thread, I had a feeling Griffin was saving his best for that game.

I’d just like to enjoy watching good winning Lakers basketball again. The winning we’ve done this year has been mostly unwatchable basketball. Torturous entertainment on a good day. Abomination on the bad.

It might be the first full year for Maginka, but it feels like an eternity for Laker fans since we last had good basketball.

Heck, most of the fun I had last year was watching For Randle’s best offensive foul/charge of the game and running dudes over.

Our bar has been so low for so long. Just ready for something better, and it seems we’ll only have flashes of good play this year. It’s not enough.

X-Mas day was pretty fun. We've just been bitten by the injury bug. When not injured we've looked pretty darned good at times. Certainly the best we've been in years.

Which are historically more likely, late bloomers or busts?

Late bloomers: oladipo, Lowry, Nash, (Randle & DLo a tier below, but still much better now when they looked liked busts year 2-3.)

Busts: kwame, Derek Williams, Wes Johnson, Darko, okafor

he's not a bust, anyone saying he is are more likely non-laker fans who expects much more production and advance stats for a #2 pick. And Oldaipo needed the 5th yr to get to where he's at now and playing next to other star so he gets total control of the offense.

I'm on Central time, and with the way we're playing, I just don't care to wait up til 9:30 PM to suffer for a few hours before bed. Ain't nobody got time for that.

I'll probably pass on watching tonight. Thanks Lakers for taking this joy in my life away. :dwightcrying:

    Ladies and gentlemen...

we are about to get our azz handed to us. We have pretty much had one of the easiest schedules to date and we are barely sniffing at the post-season.

Now we will go on the road playing @Thunder, @Rockets and Warriors....you can pretty much pencil in 3 Ls, especially with Bron missing the next couple.

Then we will face a bunch of teams including Rockets and @Warriors again, twice the Sixers, C Bags, Pacers, twice the Clippers...Pretty much a huge load of LLLLLLLLLLs

I think after that we will see how many games we trail #8 for the post-season.
