Several replays later I see Ingram could have passed it to KCP running away lol but he accepted the challenge in the clutch and failed miserably lol

So what is this team without Lebron? A freakin lottery team. That’s what.

We're missing a whole lot more than Lebron to be fair.

I can’t argue with that. I’m just really tired of getting waxed by the Clippers for the last few years. Even after landing Lebron they were crowing that they were still the better basketball team in L.A. That really irked me and I have been wanting to have them put in their place. With injuries to key players that’ll have to be put on hold I guess.

Ugh, such a depressing loss. To add insult to injury we dropped down to 7th freaking place. And every single Laker player not named KCP needs to lock themselves in the gym tomorrow and make 1000 free throws.

We just suck in 4th quarter of the last few games. Memphis, Kings, Clippers...

    That's choking under pressure.

i know they're missing 3 very important players but it kind of sucks to see that the kids haven't taken that next step in being able to close out games

It's tough to win games without Lebron and Javale .

However let's be honest here , our young core is vastly overrated because they are wearing a Lakers uniform .
They wouldn't be talked about this much if they were playing for Memphis or whatever NBA team people don't care about .

wow. what a complete meltdown after getting the 10 point lead. it's like every single player could do nothing right for 18 straight game minutes. one of the worst things i've witnessed in a while. to be fair, i didn't watch them do almost the same thing just two days earlier!

I have to be very honest here, and this is the perfect thread to post in:

I am probably not going to watch games or post here until Bron and McGee come back. I am tired of several things:

    1. Our young guys are overrated by everyone here, myself included. They are making the same mistakes they were making last year. They build the lead, but are unable to keep it in the 4th; this is extremely frustrating to watch and not worth my time. The stupid plays, the turnovers, those missed free throws that start from the very first possession... I could go on and on.

    2. I am also tired of LeBron jokes, gifs, complaints and everything else. This guy made me excited about the season, and without him - let's face the truth - this is a lottery team. We are #7 in the West right now, and will be out of the playoffs very soon. Like it or not, superstars win games, especially in the playoffs. Either that, or a perfectly executed system by a great coach, and we just don't have that. As far as I am concerned every young player on this team can be traded for a superstar, because we're not going to make any impact until that happens.

To say that I am very disappointed would be an understatement. If someone told me before the season that JaVale McGee is going to be a stabilizing influence on this team and a voice of reason, I would have laughed at them. The guy is a freaking all-star. And LeBron James (let's joke more about his red wine, please) is a basketball genius who can drag a bunch of scrubs with him in the playoffs in the extremely competitive West. If he misses any more games, he is going to need a lot more than one glass of that wine.

To be fair we have a bunch of 20 something year olds on our team that love to work hard. Also we all knew this year was just a recruiting year, next year is the real contending year. We will make the playoffs but I won't be surprised if we don't get past the first round. It's just not that year, so I'm going to let Lonzo, Ingram, Hart and kuzma continue to grow, and get better.

I feel bad for the lebron-hating laker fans. Being a fan should come with some enjoyment, and the only reason for genuine optimism is lebron. We're seeing what it's like without him, and we saw it for several years already. I'm trying to enjoy the limited window of his superstardom in a lakers uniform. I think it's easier/healthier that way.

Not looking forward to praying for lotto balls and hoping not to screw up the resulting picks. The biggest bird is in our hands.

and that's even more concerning. ingram and lonzo were #2 overall picks but they sure as hell haven't played like it on a consistent basis

I see improvement in both Lonzo & Kuzma.. Both have pretty versatile games & seem to fit well next to LeBron.
Hart is tough but has a low ceiling.. BI is really starting to become a disappointment... Too one dimensional.
Not sure any of them are "untradeable" right now though.

Even with Lebron, McGee and Rondo we have very little room for error to get wins most nights in the West. That's just how tight and competitive it is with so few games differential between first and 14th. The small margin for error is of course way smaller without arguably our three best or most consistent vets this season. Not sure if we can actually pull out any wins without one or two of them back. The playoff race is going to be really tough this year.
